Cheers Neil, we cut the boot floor out first. After consideration it converted the back bumper into a big parachute, hence the idea to cut it out. However, whilst I think Gobstopper is awesome in every respect, the cut at the rear is ugly. But **** it, if it's ugly and quicker, I'm in !!!
This is just a first fit and Craig still has some ongoing work and ideas. We are working towards a flat floor, but that's a long way off. Some of the biggest conundrums revolve around materials.

Spent some time in the garage tonight.
Out with the old.........
Pulled the heads off last year's engine as it's going to a new home.
In with the new..........
These bad boys are 20K Mile AVCS heads
Bought them recently and tomorrow they are on their way to Chy at PENNINE SUBARU for a wee makeover and to be introduced to the bit that goes between them
They are not going alone, I'd like to keep my PhI manifold as they are the best option available, so we are adding some Carl Davey, specialist Subaru Impreza parts supply Gucci stuff. These spacers allow me to use/save money by retaining fuel rails, manifold etc.
On a similar note, anyone who knows me will know how **** about weight saving I am, again, more of Mr Daveys' Gucci'ness, anyone felt the weight of a '93-'96 Alternator bracket
this mounts this Icle wee thing..

AVCS will be controlled along with everything else by this baby
which currently has pride of place on the desk in my Study
I've been playing with the software a little and while it seemed quite alien at first, it's really very intuative and straightforward once you delve in there. cracking ECU, what can't do, isn't worth doing

Air con Tim, there's athrottle body where the alternator was as you know, two bolts on the block and one on the head. It's an excellent piece of work, I reckon Carl has OCD
Wee alternator is from a 3cyl Diahatsu Charade

I think I need to talk to Carl, couldn't find the bracket on his site. Far neater than my solution, just wonder if it can be adapted to take the aircon drive...

OCD and Attention Deficite syndrome The bits will be showcased much better when operational
Whilst they do look excellent, weight is my primary concern...always
But seriously, excellent work. Stephen, Tim talk to Carl, he doesn't bite. I assume producing these in batches would be more cost effective so maybe asking Carl aout a group buy ?
Stephen, I'm away this week but wouldn't mind a chat if you are free some night

More action today, never let Craig within 30ft of your car with either a hole saw or a pd saw in his hand !!!
Roof scoop now functional rather than Bling
Rear Bumper pods in Paint
New MEF Motorsport designed/CompBrake Manufactured Pedal Box
New Fuel tank, lives in boot where the old 'Icle' one was, but should allow me to more than 3 laps of Knockhill without having to refuel

Took the Lateral Performance sump off my old engine tonight. (Engine is going to a new home ) so that I can install on the new one coming (Pics to follow )
First time I've seen inside, well impressed at the baffling and the welding is first class, if your going to be going round in circles in your car fast, get yourself one of these It's been on the car a whole season and I haven't seen a whiff of oil surge.

pic of sump?
what year are your new heads from? Ive just picked up some v7 avcs heads to put on a v3 bottom end (wiseco pistons), but havent worked out if the combo is going to be any good yet in terms of squish and compression ratio

Hi, it's a bit oily. I'll put a pic up when I get it cleaned up, top bit of Kit though
Heads are from a 2006 car, I would imagine squish will be fine (dependant on gasket thickness) the Ph2 heads have a bigger combustion chamber than Ph1/1.5, so your compression ratio will go down, probably no bad thing
