Thought it would be prudent to recap what is going to happen on the day of the NBO, as it's not long to go now.
Sunday morning, Andy from Prosport will be setting off early to get there around 10am, he'll be taking up one of Prosports rally cars, along with the gazebo to cover it. We'll all be meeting at Pcworld carpark on portwood roundabout in Stockport for 8am. We'll all convoy up together, mainly up the M62, meeting any north Manchester/Wirral guys at Birch services on the way. (08:30 at the latest)
From there, we'll head upto Lightwater vally, and a nice steady pace, which should take under 1 1/2 hours. I'm aiming to get us there ahead of the flood of visitors that will be attending on the day.
With the Prosport car as our focal point, we'll spend a little time arranging ourselves in a pleasing order, setup the generator, get the bbq in position and the other gazebos up, fire up the laptops, and we're away. Shouldn't take longer than an hour for that lot, just in time to watch as the hoards start pouring in

Any suggestions or amendments to that itinery? Lets just pray that lordhardings prayers for good weather have been heard, as I don't fancy spending the day in a muddy field

Any chance we can tempt you guys off the country lanes and across the M62 for a big meet-up at Ferrybridge Services and a MEGA CONVOY up to LW with the Midlands, S.Yorks and Hull Scoobs Gotta beat the TTS convoy within the next few years

I don't see why not Dave, but it depends on what time your all meeting up. I know we'd have to go a little further along the m62 to meet you guys, but as we're already setting off at 8am, I'm not sure if we'd want to go any earlier. google routes puts us at 1 hour 22 to ferrybridge which means we'd arrive at ferrybridge realisticaly around 9:45 latest.
What time are you meeting and leaving?

That itinery isn't a problem. One thing that's bugging me though, apart from Andy from Prosport, we've no need to send a "stand crew" up, we're all part of the stand, and it wont take us long to set-up on the day. I don't know what you guys have in mind, but our stand is going to be mainly for our benifit, gazebo, bbq ect, with a good show of cars from all our members. So as such, we don't need a stand crew, as we're all part of it

We're sending the stand cars up earlier as they've asked for stand cars to be in place before 10.30am, as once they start filling up the main field it would be difficult to get anyone else onto the perimeter stands. I think. Al knows more, I'll double check with him.

Yup, stand cars need to be there earlier....CLICKY

I've had a pm off lordharding tonight regarding the setup and times of stands, and my original plan has fallen on its ****
Personally, I'm not fussed about going up in a big convoy, I've done that before, but I'm sure some of the smacs would like to travel up in a big convoy. So, I'm all for the early start, probably getting there before andy (prosport) and pitching the site.

2 lists then, one early start, help to get the site up, wait for andy and help him.

cw42

and the other to travel up from stockport to meet up with wyioc and all other convoys in one tts beating convoy

.........

whoever is on the second list will have to sort out mini-convoy leader

Hows that for everyone?

My other half has just informed me that after speaking to her sister earlier on today, there is a family Christening/communion thingy on the 3rd Sunday in June.
"GREAT, FANTASTIC, TIMING COULDN'T BE BETTER"
Why is it that all recent family/wedding events clash with our outings
Trying to find out the time of the communion! if its later on in the day might be able to attend both, or sack off the communion that wont go down well though.

Just a thought you guys, SMACS and WYOIC why dont you all meet up at Dishforth services,.That way the WYOIC can still meet at Ferrybridge and make a second stop at Dishforth, and the SMACS can just carry up the M1 and will have to pass the Dishforth Services. As you will be both passing it

Mick

Dont worry you will never beat the MIGHTY NORTHERN CONVOY

Top sentiments coming out here guys, and its great to see. I'm just aware that some of us may want to travel up in a huge convoy this year, I know I've had fun doing that in the past It looks like I've read it all wrong though, and we're going up in one tight SMACS CONVOY which is awesome!
Still a few to sign in yet though, something to ask tonight at the meeting I think

If it works out and I can make it, I will probably need to head back quite early. From previous years experience is it a problem to get out from LWV during the day (ie do you get blocked in)?

You could still meet us at the Trading Post and go up in convoy with our stand crew. We have 12 in that group with a further 10 who'll be up near there camping for the night. the other 23+ will be doing the Ferrybridge MEGA CONVOY.

Stand convoy meet at TP at 9.15am and depart at 9.30 for a 10.15 arrival at LV.
