Have you got figures to back up your claims .... I doubt it! .... but seeing as I have one, I can say that there has been absolutely no difference in the fuel consumption or handling of the car since I fitted this!

Should also add that it has been proven that the larger scoop increases airflow to the I/C by over 30% and resulting in intake temperature of 10-12 degrees .... something that the standard scoop is totally incapable of doing, particularly at higher speeds!

You probably do get a lower intake temp resulting in more power, but any gain in power is reduced as you've got more drag on the car meaning the engine has got to work harder to push against the air,
Personally I could'nt give a toss I only come on here for a laugh nowerdays!

Its also nice to see people doing 130 on a public road and still have time to concentrate on what % their knock link is reading
Makes you glad you don't own an Impreza any more
can still concentrate on the road @ speed.
running apexi fc, it holds the highest reading so you can look at it later
don't sti 5/6/7/8 rear spoilers slow you down ?
it does not stop every man & his dog from fitting them !!

I like:

fog covers
front lip
rear spoiler
wheels ok

don't like:

scoop
stickers on mirrors and windscreen
amber bulbs in front indicators
morettes
standard side lights

but thats just me - if we were all the same wouldn't life be boring

running apexi pc & water injection but still getting knock @ 130+ with booster
had it mapped twice now !!
0-100 no knock, then on a motoway 130+ was up to 70% knock on the read out
not tried it out yet , mabe next weekend
thank's chris
Not to put too much negativity into this thread but Correct me if i'm wrong, The fastest allowed on british roads is 70mph, Your talk of 130+ seems more than a little irisponsible

IMO a case of function over form.

If you are regularly doing those speeds consider a FMIC
