in my opinion wr1 is over rated sti ppp but you do get cheap insurance on it as it counts as unmodified compared to a sti with ppp and 18" wheels.again if you like it obtain all the info about it drive a few and if you can compare to other models eg jdm cheaper 04sti ppp or even 05 ex demo as they are literally selling for less than 03/04 wr1 which is great for buyers and then decide for yourself.you should really change oil on most newage subarus every 5,000 miles if using the car as subaru intended

I often wonder when people choose a car and have to do the SELL SELL SELL are they actually insecure about something in their life? It confuses me.

I'm I right? did the press bumff not say the WR1 had 305Bhp. I looked at the WR1 and the Evo and thought the Evo was a lot better value for money 300bhp for £25K against £30K for WR1. Couldn't do it though and bought a JDM sti.

PS how much are WR1's going for these days. I thought they were very over priced at the time and reckon If I could afford it would go for a Litchfiled T25. Already got the plate for when I can afford one.

Cost less to insure then my slightly modded classic 2000T did. Major difference to *most* other scoobs is that it pulls and pulls above a ton (law permitting).
It is incredibly fast. Certainly not as fast as some modded models, but faster than just about everything else you will meet.
Sounds great. Nice deep burble "out of the box".
DCCD for more taught handling.
Driving lights are brilliant and come on with full beam only. They basically double your night vision.
Opinions are mixed on colour and style (I love it obviously) but everyone and I mean everyone will double take as you pass by.
Mine is up for sale when we get back from the IOM after easter. No 280. Other fish to fry. Cheapest I have seen was £18K, dearest was 25K at a dealer recently.
