I bet my £52 backbox is nice and loud, plus more bangs for my bucks than backboxes alot dearer......lol

IMHO it looks better than the dragger anyhow....

Cool

Well... received a letter from Manchester airport yesterday saying the engine was ready to pick up... and that it had been sat there since 10am Tuesday... alittle peed off I rung them... as I payed for it to come to my door...!!!
Also e-mailed RON at AXIS, he's looked into it and found out that BAX GLOBAL(the delievery firm) made an error while entering the info into the computer and so now I have to collect the package at the airport.

So I've payed up the bill for importing it etc... plus £25 quid for their delievery... and its been promised to be at my door step between 9am-11am today... Ron has said he'll refund the difference... Bax's error though!!!
So hopefully I'll be a happy lad later... I'm also off work for a week now... so I can crack on with getting it running again... I'll update later...

Well, heres the pic's as promised... it was like having another birthday when this little lot turned up... bank account has been raided!!!lol

Heres the pistons I have forsale... standard EJ22t pistons...

Crank and rods forsale...

The power house... Oooooooooo... 2.35 Stage 4 AXIS build... hmmmmm, nice...

Me head bolts... should hold it together quite well...

Managed to swap all needed bolts over off the other block, plus some sensors... ordered the rest of the need parts from RCM today... so they should be with me tommorrow, so finally I can get stuck in and get this thing together...
Next week once i'm near enough there, will get the turbo and injectors on order from Andy F...
Can't wait...

The other day I was bored... so... though it was about time I got the bin on the back... what you think???

You'll have to excuse my mates pigeon s**t... Its on anyway...
So, finally its coming together... its been nearly 10 months... and hopefully been worth the wait... although a 2.5k rebuild would have had it running in no time... I just feel the need to put my mark on this car...
Can't wait to get behind the wheel of it again...

I'm not bragging or owt... lol... I used a paint pen... I've only done it for the camera's benifit... as I wasn't sure it would stand out... hence just marking it with some yellow pen... marked the 1,2,3,4 aswell... lol... get a paint pen in my hand and I go nuts!!!
lol... and as for tart, says you...!!! Cheers for the feed back...
Today while i'm waiting for parts, i'm outside on the underside of the car again attacking it with the black paint... haahaahaa...!
May wax it again if the parts are running late... also gotta steam clean the sump... keeping the original on... don't see the need to go baffled...?

Hoping over the next couple of days to pretty much get the block built up... ie, heads, sump inlet etc on... Then hopefully next week it will just be bolt turbo and injectors on and dump it in...
Its all turned up at the wrong time really... I've gotta dismantle a concrete garage tommorrow... 9ftx16ft... £50 quid off a lad at work... gonna try get that took down tommorrow and then try pick it up and get it in the back garden over weekend...
Very busy at the mo.... lol

Due to being very busy last weekend sorting out the new garage... I haven't managed to get everything done I wanted... but have done all the little time consuming jobs now...
The engine should be built up for saturday evening really...
Minus turbo and injectors... I've been trying to delay things... just been waiting for pay day on the 15th so I don't completely skint myself...
I e-mailed Andy F at the weekend... the earlest I can expect my parts off him with be thursday the 15th June as he's gone on his hols for a week...
So fingers crossed it should all be built up for this weekend with pic's... then later next week its just bolt the last few parts on and chuck it in... long as it don't take to long for the bits to turn up, can't see why it won't be running by the 18th...
Then its running in stage... Oooooooo...

Unhappy

I've had a few set backs over weekend so haven't been able to do as much as I'd have liked too, also ordered a baffled sump from APi, this was due to further inspection of my sump, we've noticed the lip is bent and a few dents in it... and i'm not willing to risk it, for it to leak & not seal right, or worse...!!!

Also had to order 2 cambelt idlers from Camskill, as there is alittle play in one of them, and the other is noisey just from spinning by hand!!!
When will the spending end!!!

Gonna use the GEMS ecu that was already fitted to the car... just re-map it...
Regarding the manifold spacers... helps keep the manifold temps down... and you don't get as much heat transfer through from the block... in theory...
