Yup, all run in. Going to take it easy for the next few outings though as I'm a bloody liability with it at the moment. I haven't had any seat time since December and very little since last summer as it was off the road for a phase 1 upgrade (fmic, 20g, induction, ported headers, injectors) in the autumn, this is phase 2 BTW.

First impressions are it seems to be a very "driveable" package and quite well suited to fast road use. Time will tell if its enoigh though, especially as ther is some very stiff competion up here at just mow. I remember not so long ago when you were considered a hardcore nutter if you had a full decat and a remap.

No need to rotate the TD05/06 / TD05 20G turbo, straight forward bolt on to Scooby pipework ( maybe a little space needs making on gearbox housing! ).

Other makes of turbo for other cars fit differently IIRC so need custom pipework and turning so they fit in the space.

My fuelling consists of...

Walbro 255lph pump
SX fpr
Parallel fuel mod
740 Apexi injectors
Always run on octane booster

I don't remember the exact duty cycle but Andy commented that I still had some headroom and not near their limit.

Have you decided on the rest of the spec yet? I found that when bits and pieces started to arrive things moved very quickly and it was a major PITA waiting for that one missing part.

What have you got sorted out for

Fuelling^^^^
Induction
Turbo
Boost control
Belts
Gaskets
Breathers
Pumps
Plugs
Sump

etc, etc, etc???

I never bothered with the spacers, this was always going to be a budget build for me and I had to draw the line somewhere. Spacers never made the cut.

If you're speaking to Andy about other things mention the plugs to him, better now that having to buy more later.

As for the sump, I'll be taking mine on the track and the quarter mile and I don't want to undo all my good work by picking up a bearing. You could ask the masses what they think but I'm defo a saftey first kind of guy.

One last thing to get, but at leat it's cheap. Magnetic sump bolt. Was not sure wether to get one but thought what the hell.

Have done 2 oil changes since this one but this is what it picked up after 400 miles

I guessed that when running in a new engine there'd be some swarf and here it is. Nowhere near as bad on the next change.

Cheers, I think so too... This weekend finished painting under the rear arches... trimmed the inner wing to allow for abit more room for the FMIC pipework... and got me heads back, they look like new... well worth it... I'll get some pic's up asap... had the date back off Ron for the block... so should have it back for the middle of this month... once its back i'll get the order in with Andy F for my list of bits...
Hoping to get it running again first week in June... got the week off... so looks like I've got a busy month ahead...

The e-mail I've been waiting for... from Ron @ AXIS...

' Your engine build is completed. I have been trying to send you some pics but my sat internet is not cooperating very much.
IF I can't send any over the net, I'll burn a disk with them and send it with the block.
I need to find another box to put your block/parts into as the one it came in was pretty much destroyed. It has to be a reinforced box to survive the long journey. I should be able to find one tomorrow sometime.
I am certain I will get it out tomorrow so it should be arriving in your neck of the woods sometime later next week.
Once I get it out, I'll email you with the tracking info.'

Can't wait now, walking round with that grin, You know that grin you get, the one when you put your foot down in your Scooby...
It's been along wait, but been worth it... these next few weeks... should finally have it running once more...
Once it arrives with me next week... I'll get onto Andy and order the rest of the parts I need... Will keep it updated on here... I've got a week off beginning of June too, which is handy...

Will do... just starting to get head into gear... sort out ordering bits and bobs...so many bits in the car... dunno where to start lol... looking forward to hearing it pop ing and banging again...
Only thing that may slow me down over my week off will be the bank holiday... just have to make sure I get everything I need before hand, or at least enough bits to keep the build up running smoothly...
E-mail sent to Andy F just to check on price, and availability on Turbo, injectors and inlet pipe...

Oooooooooooo, some of the parts I've ordered have started turning up... No engine just yet...lol...
Exhaust... Oooooooooooo! 4.5 Superdragger... with 3inch inlet... got it off e-bay.com... cheap as chips...
Reason being I've been struggeling to get hold of a backbox with the same fitting as mine... as my system is 3 inch straight through... seemed a waste to change it all for the sake of hating the tail pipe... So more DIY... should be able to make this baby fit...!!!

Alright though, its cost me £52 quid to me door... bargain!!! couldn't get a flight over there for that...lol

Should get some rather BIG pops, bangs and flames outta this with the anti-lag on......

I thought that the Dragger was the quietest BB HKS made, never heard one on a Impreza but all the Skylines I've heard with them fitted sound fairly subdued compared to other systems, Then again i maybe wrong.

Like Graham says i hope you have plenty of ground clearance, May have to change your user name to Scoobyraised

I bet my £52 backbox is nice and loud, plus more bangs for my bucks than backboxes alot dearer......lol
