I feel one of those all-time-great SN threads coming on... something involving a rat, a septic tank and a large quantity of petrol and/or poisons. Take plenty of photos, I think we all deserve to see the moment when the rat scurries out of the way just as the septic tank empties its contents 100 feet into the air

mate, if you've ever seen a rat twatted with a shovel it's not the most pleasant thing to recomend. my boss flattened one a few years back and putting a C4 charge inside it couldn't have spread it any further!

i was standing about 6 foot away and i got a bit of it on my shoe (where's a puke smiley when you want it?)

Stand on the patio with spade raised - throw down some food - seeds, bacon, choccie, big mac etc - make sure there is planty of food. when the rat starts to munch, whak it with the flat of the spade. (Don't use the edge - it goes straight through and hurts like fek when you hit the ground)

Oh yes - if you are using a Big Mac, wear protective trousers - you don't want to get that stuff on your skin
