Ive just noticed the thread about Anth too.. Im sat here now with a tear in my eye and a house brick lodged in my throat. this must have happened when I was away over in NZ as I never saw it at the time.
Bye B.E.P. thanks for your kindness, words and thoughts as we chatted about my Bro -in Law, and about others too in the thread .

Lee, I don't really know if I can offer any help here, sorry. When my Mam's cancer was found, nothing at all was found on the mammogram, so further tests were needed (ultrasound and biopsy), as there was a lump there. There are so many forms, some just don't show up. As something has appeared, however, inconclusive, further tests will be needed, but hopefully as you say, it could be scar tissue, or something else which isn't anything to worry about.
Hopefully the infection is unrelated. I've had infections that have lasted months, some just seem to take hold.
I wish I could be any sort of help, but all I can really say, is I hope it turns out to be nothing serious, and I'm here whenever you might want to have a talk. Just keep an eye out on msm for me,if you don't want to chat on here.
All my love to both of you.

Am calling in to see her this afternoon, then Mammogram in the morning.
I'll take her a bottle of Brandy, that will perk her up
Hope all is well with her Lesley, it is a worrying thing of course but hopefully it is just a bit of scar tissue. I had a CT Scan just over a week ago and they found a shadow on my lung but it turned out to be scar tissue anyway. Makes you twitch a bit though.
The brandy should do her a world of good!

Thanks folks
Took her a bottle of Brandy this afternoon. Said she was going to get herself drunk tonight
She's a lot more positive, thankfully. No idea how long for the results but she has the mammogram early tomorrow morning.

Good news Lee
My dad is still in High Dependency, went in for the op two week ago today, he started to get better, then got worse and moved back to ICU, then he started to recover, so they moved him back onto the main post op ward, started to get better, then ended up back in ICU for another Op and this time they kept him on a Ventilator
He is off the Ventilator and has been moved last night from ICU to HDU and is improving, although he keeps getting a temp, and is on oxygen and loads of other monitoring stuff, and now the morphine is making him hallucinate
the good news is that they managed to remove all the cancer, but he is still not out of the woods yet

cheers peeps, its been a tough two weeks
Im still going to the hospital everynight straight from work for a few hours, tonight Dad slept the whole way through, didnt even know we were there, but he has had a rough couple of nights of discomfort and very little sleep, so we left him too it
The strange thing is he absolutly sailed through the chemo and radiotherapy, got virtually zero side effects, I guess he knew this op would be the big thing to knock him for six
He still has his jokes with the nurses, and earlier today he said he was going to do a runner with Donna (as she was visiting him )

Can't say how glad I am at your news Lesley. She deserves more brandy!
I wish your dad all the best Sonic, he has been through the mill allright. Sounds like he is recovering though.
The auto morphine device went wrong on me and overdosed me heavily. I was not able to chase the nurses though!

And its got even worse tonight
They have found urine in his drain, so they think they may have nicked his kidney in the 2nd op last week, so he was being prepped this evening to go and have a camera with dye to check if there is a leak, and if so how big
They have got a couple of options depending on the size of the leak, from a small stent on the nick, to worst case removing his kidney
My Dad looked really fed up tonight (he had only been told about 30 minutes previous)
However he has maintained his sense of humour, a lot of nurses & doctors were in with the patient in the next bed, trying to get him to do things and panicking around a bit, and everytime they asked him, my dad unplugged his heart monitor so it would alarm, looking at me laughing saying 'they will think that is the bloke next door' naughty but brought a smile to our faces
We are phonining the hospital at midnight to see if he went into theatre or not

Sorry folks, need to get this off my chest
Mam is having loads of tests
Problem is now down below. Nurse first thought it was Tamoxifen related. She has had loads of tests on Monday and has to go back asap
They are not happy and neither am I
Fingers crossed please, people. She has gone through enough

She is kinda special, as I lost my Dad when he was only young

Scar tissue. She is now probably out of her tree on brandy. Thanks for the support all, much appreciated
