I never went anywhere, my mams probably having Shannon for the weekend instead so I'll be out then.

I would say yes too if I was asked to take part in research.
We had family flowers at the funeral but managed to raise over £400 for Cancer Research aswell, that was in the space of a couple of weeks from people who came to the funeral and we put a decent amount in ourselves.

Fingers crossed for you Anthony, hope it goes really well for you

I hope you didn`t spend all of ya mams money???

I have the date for my scan, its next Wed morning in Leeds. I`m papping myself, but prepared.
Everyone on this thread has been great in whatever circumstances people have posted up about, there is always help just around the corner.
I have also been asked to take part in a research towards this illness, which I have accepted.
I was asked last Thursday as to whether I was still willing to participate in this study, I answered "YES"
Hope everyone is well.
Anthony

My best wishes go with you

I had my scan today. I had an ultrasound around the affected area. They did find two raised lymph nodes. So they took a biopsy and have sent it off for examination/test.
I have to wait for the results now. But if I need another operation then so be it. Nothing compares to today, having a needle in your armpit, ouch. Even I had to keep a civil tongue in my head, clenched fists etc. Mumbled words under my breath which I will not repeat.
We all go through tough times in our lives, but today for me was one of them.
Thinking Of You All, and I cannot thank you enough for your continued support.

I thought of you today. Sounds absolute agony, and I can only begin to try to imagine what it must be like but take heart that that part is over with. Have they said how long your results may take?

I know from experience with my dad, that sometimes just waiting for the results is the worst part, as all sorts of things are running through your mind. At least when you know if something is going on you deal with it. Keep strong

Hope everything comes back clear, fingers crossed for you.

Yes it is quite sore, I had a biopsy 2 years ago on my erm..........boob, and it wasn't very pleasant to say the least and for a few days after I was pretty tender, no matter where it's done though you always manage to catch it etc so it hurts more.

After three weeks of the unknown, I got my results today.
They came back clear. It is such an immense relief for me and my wife. I cannot even begin to tell you how great she has been throughout this, should I say traumatic few weeks.
Ange, you are are my rock, thankyou.

If it wasn`t for my wife sending me to the docs, I would never have discovered SNet, and you my friends.

Hope EveryOne Is Keeping Well.

Anthony

Got another review in 6 weeks.

I can't tell you how happy I am to hear your news Anthony. What a relief that will be for you and your familiy. I know how you feel about your wife too. Mrs Leslie was outstanding in the way that she kept me going in the same way. That is so important with a problem like this.

One of my close friends has just been diagnosed with the same cancer that I had. He will be treated by the same surgeon I had. He is lucky since he is a very skilled man. So I have someone else to pray for now.

Best wishes Les

Sara, the wrong words, I think from me. I just did a search on forums & SNet popped up whilst I was off work after my first operation. Thats how I found it.

Also a big thankyou to the SMACS for raising money for a worthwhile cause, hats off to you.

BEP (Anthony) .. chuffed to bits for you fella,, really am, thats great news

not been around too much myself over the last week or so, but just as an 'update' for want of a better term.. Bro in Law was cremated last week.
As far as these 'things' go,. it was a good one.. his works shut completely for the day and most of the workforce attended so that was really nice ...
all in all the family have coped pretty well thus far , knowing that he's now no longer suffering ..
