If those who can enter on the day only need to produce their driver's licence and presumably, tax disc, is it necessary for those who've pre-booked to also have available MOT, V5 logbook & insurance certificate, as stated in 'Cars- Rules & Regs.?

I don't have a problem with producing these but don't feel comfortable having all the car's docs. in one, insecure or vulnerable place.

Is it really necessary?

you may well be asked to show all your car docs, we are checking cars at random on sunday for documentation, to ensure valid mot etc where applicable, so best to have them on you if you are a late attender or pre booked as reqd.
