Ummm, assuming a 2min turnaround on the handling circuit, that'd be over 16 hours for 100 cars to do 5 timed laps...

you would be set off at sensible intervals, a-la GT battle...call it 20seconds..

that was youd get them in easily...

No you wont. It will most probably work like TOTB.

the 5 laps is a MAXIMUM, each lap roughly anyway between 30 and 50 seconds (depends on course).

One car at a time only.

Not everybody goes on the handling circuit.

The maximum of 5 laps is to stop people "hogging" the handling circuit IIRC

The entry form has an error chris. You cant noise test at 3/4 throttle, everyone would blow their engines up as they sat there on the limiter.

yep well spotted ! i'd already sent a new version of the form to our webguys, which may well be on the site already to download.

its actually going to be 105db noise limit at 4000rpm now, which is better than at 3/4 peak rpm as it should have read on original form anyway!.

where can I get my exhaust tested for noise levels? It will be my first year for any form of competition, so I'll need to make sure my car is not excluded before I start entering events.

most trackvenues are 98db static normally or 105db static at 3/4 max revs on "noisy" days. donnington also has a drive by noise test.

you can have a free noise test if you are worried at any of the straightliners rwyb events at elvington, 9th april is the next one. Elvington have only just implemented their own 105db static test at 4k revs, which shouldnt be a problem unless the cars is ridiculously loud. none of the scoobs , skylines or evos failed the above limit at the last rwyb in march, but come along and check if you wish at the 9th april.
