how far did you go?

 

im going to go to work on monday on my bike, and tuesday

 

cant go the other days as i go to college on the wednesday and dont get out till late plus my bag is bloody heavy

 

thursday friday are the days that i need to be home handy from work and straight out the door so i'll drive then as well,

 

knocks 30 miles of my car though and hopefully a fair few tyres of my belly. take a lot of trips to cut it down to a low profile theough

 

didnt get chance today but i will go looking at new bikes soon, last time i spoke to the fella in my local shop he said raleigh do a perfect one for my needs that costs around £260 ish

 

i thought that was good cos i was looking at one in his shop for over 300 so he could of tried to sell me that one

 

but he never, i like that, good honest shopkeeper he is will be getting my business

 

you can pay off gradually as well in his shop so i may start doing that with him untill i can afford it or santa gets me one

 

could get myself a nice little bike then an wont feel it in the pocket much

 

Only about 10 miles.

Before I learned to drive I was doing 45-50 miles on Saturday and the same again on Sunday. Might not sound a lot but that was on a heavy full sus bike with downhill orientated tyres.

With a decent road bike I'm sure it would have been into 3 figures but road riding is/was no fun.

The guy next door but one to Deniece works in Salford and rides to work. Takes him an hour each way. Might start doing that if the weather holds up. Even more cash saved.

 

went a great place a few months back in wales, superb for mountain bikes had loads of different runs on it, we all went on the hardest one

 

an hour is a long way on a bike though in it, lorry drivers pee me off on my bike they get way to close

 

if your into the downhill stuff you would love that place i went to, the black run we went on was 11 miles and in parts the drops with jumps were terrifying

 

everyone except me fell off and one of the lads fell of directly in front of me at about 20mph going downhill, i honestly p1ssed myself laughing for ages, everyone who went passed was just staring at me pointing and laughing at my mate

loved it when a fit bird with a fit **** passed you as well, it gave you the insentive to pedal a bit quicker

 

going ot go again soon though as it was excellent fun

 

so where is everyone. pete aint been on much at all lately

Back in the day, I would have been there on Saturday! But I've developed a sense of fear and reality now.

My brother is still well into it though. He enters the Midland Super series and usually gets into the top 10 in class and top 30 overall. Not bad seeing as the only training he does is in the pub.
