no what it is mate is that mine is the same, if you dont wear it for a few days you will have to shake your arm round for a while to get some charge into it(im sure you'll come up with a way) if you continuously only wear it of a weekend then you may constantly have to move your arm more. it will annoy you after a bit setting it up each time as well, you can however buy a box that will slowly rock it and therefore keep it 'charged'

no ste!

it doesnt have a battery! it is a wind up watch, the automatic movement is a weight in the watch case that winds it up and stores the energy in coils! that is why it wont last more than 48 hours or so if you dont wear it!

before i put my watch on after a couple of days (when it has no energy left) i undo the crown and pull it out one click and wind it manually.

im fully aware of the pitfalls of a automatic watch, thats why i have bought one

this is the movement in the back of my watch

the half weight is what you can feel moving in your watch as it automatically winds the coils

**** me

Thank you for using the Block Paving Prices Website and for giving us the
opportunity to tender for your project of 33 Square Metres.

The cheapest price we have received is £1,881 based on a standard, yet high
quality block, from a company offering services in your area.

I only want to pay a grand

know any dodgy people Pete (and not the dodgy dodgy sort)

justin i did all the base for my drive, its about 12-18inch deep in places, the ground round here is poor for draining water, it was left to settle for about 6months and raked regular to pack the MOT stone in properly and level, the block paving has been down for 10years and hasn't moved!! and my drive gets a lot of traffic including tranny vans loaded !!
all the drives around me have "tram lines" , all because of the base being to thin and not packed in properly,
i also put drainage in were ever possible

do it yourself justin
dig the front garden up , dig a big hole in the middle and lines off it and fill it with the broken up flags/concrete that make up you drive now and put the soil back on top , you'll have a great lawn and garden, then get some MOT for the base of the drive , level it and drive on it for a few months , keep raking the high spots into the low(were the wheels travel) when the block is layed , rake it all level again, it shouldn't need anything more than 1/2 inch of sand, that way it can't sink/tramline as there is very little sand= movement

do you have a web address for that? we want to get a double drive, I would be happy with tarmac to match what we already have but at that price its not too bad to go block.
