the 2.5 v6 vectra is quite a good engine

if you put the vaux 3.0 cams in you gain 20+bhp quite cheap as well

veccy v6 a good one, early phase 1 msd's are cheap, have the gsi trim etc and 3.0 cams as standard.. their 197bhp from factory, get a chip, zorst, decat and decent viper filter and a few other bits would easy see 230..

only problem is they dont like short runs on a regular basis.. timing belt changes are a must as they have a habit of going.. and head gaskets as they suffer from heat soak when turned off..

just make sure they have a good service history and look like they have been looked after and you cant go wrong.. plus a decently serviced one will see 200k easy

i think you will be saving any of this kind of car from the scrap heap at nortons , so they should cheap enough to be disposable

depends on what you want to spend and do with it??
i would buy a 91-95 BMW M3, there cheap enough and always sellable plus rear wheel drive and the best
if thats not your choice , what about something similar to zipdave,s project!!!
it will always be worth a few quid and will be retro so , and its a ford
