gav the lucky sod i wish i was snowboarding
cheer up carla ,ric
its been a strange day
done a bit of running around picking up parts, and looked at a few cars??
looked at a 2004 WRX black 55ooomiles £9000, anygood
focus ST, focus C-MAX and a lot of scrap
ric i made a cannon when i was engineering
made from metal tube, about 4feet long with a chamber at one end , we fired dye grinder bits(like dremel bit) they look like lollypops, about 2inch diameter(sink plug), i filled the chamber with oxygen ,propane mix from metal cutting torch, and lit it
it would fire the bullits 100yrds across the yard and through a corrigated iron door , no problem
i bet at close range it go straight through the side of a car

Well my type-r is insurance group 17 and I'm paying £910 a year with Noel Dazley. Really thinking of changing but would have to be a WRX because with me only being 21 I wouldn't be able to afford the insurance on an STI!!

can you not do qoutes on line? if you cant with the company you are with go to the aa,s site and get a qoute on the type r then put in the same qoute for a scoob and see what the difference is, it gives you a bit of an idea then. Who do you work for carla? could you not go on some sort of company policy? i know of a smacs member who is only 19 with a 344HP scoob and only pays £350ish using a company policy

My WRX PPP is group 20 and apparently the STi is Group 20A. My insurance didnt go up that much after the PPP though, but that might be because Gary at Keith Michaels is quite good with his quotes for scooby owners. He'll have to work his magic when I get the STi!
A-Plan are also worth a call as I know quite a few of the SMACS are insured with them.
The best idea is to call a few or do the online quote forms to get a feel for it.

try what i said with the aa site its a good way of getting a ball park figure. you may be suprised by a qoute. If its got a tracker on it try tesco, you will be suprised by tesco if its an unmodified one.

I guess you get to drive Gavs now and again, perhaps its worth keeping the type R for a while and keeping an eye on the insurance quotes to see if they come down.

I've tried online quotes before but they say I have to call them because of the type of car and my age!!
