In light of the reactions from the people about the food I have cancelled the party booking for the food.......... However the lane is still booked for 8.50pm..........

I'd like to add that the reason this was all posted 2 weeks ago was to ensure everyone was happy with the idea of an all in deal. Everyone confirmed. Thats why I put the deposit down.......

Now I'm not p*ssed at people changing their minds thats just people. What does slighty p*ss me off is people doing it 2 days away from the event. What totally DOES p*ss me off is people deciding to change this without calling me to tell me. Thats just courtsey.

If it wasn't for Dave giving me a quick buzz tonight then I wouldn't have known and I wouldn't be logging on in a cafe tonight.
(Thanks Dave)

So I suppose my point is if you want to organise something get one person to do it and make sure that person hears what you want to do..

Ok - so it looks like down the Vane first then - since we're bowling at 8:50 and to ensure we've got plenty of time, what time are we gonna meet at the Vane - I reckon as near to 7:00 ish as its a Friday and could be quite busy??? What do you think?

J - like I said in my post mate, if you'd booked it as is then that was fine and no probs with me to carry on with the original plan , especially if you'd paid the deposit, but if we could change to the pub then great . However, furry muff about the call mate, no excuse but I thought you were more vocal on the phone with the other boys than I so didn't think to call you - sorry mate Slap my wrist (nothing else right ) won't happen again .

As far as bowling is concerned, i thought the object of the game was to wing the heaviest ball you can find as hard as you can, and if you knock any pins down thats a bonus.

Guess who will be last then............and the bulging right forearm muscles are from bowling, honest.

Neil

Never underestimate a bird with a 6 pound ball (ooer). In my experience they will trickle it down the lane, and then very slowly knock all the pins down.

Hehehe

I wouldn't go near any bird with 6LB ball ......actually I wouldn't go near a bloke with a 6LB ball....

Now I'm thinking I wouldn't go near any animal with a 6 LB ball

Talking

Dont ever believe Scott W when he says he is cr@p at bowling and not done it much. Bloody shark !!

Still, the "depth charge" bowling technique, although accurate, was always greeted with hoots of laughter (from me anyway hehehe)
