Question

Something totally un Scoobie related... but tonight we sat and watched a Golf commercial where the guy said ... 'if you're stuck on the Bracknell by-pass' ... well we both looked at each other in amazement... as we've live around Bracknell for 17 years and to date have never seen it.... are we missing something or have Volkswagen built a new road that none of us know about.

Bracknell and surrounding Scoobie owners-
Have I (we) missed something here!!!???

I edit spelling mistakes!

Bypass ? In Bracknell, I don't think so.

Unless they are talking about the A329(M) and A329 (Bracknell to M4) or the A322 (Bracknell to M3). (Both roads join in Bracknell)

Both can be bad during rush hour but I wouldn't exactly call a road that runs through a town a bypass :-)

Cheers

Prehaps they're having a dig at BMW whose UK HQ is there...

I would say the road could be construed a bypass quite easily. It bypasses Wokingham, does not go anywhere near the town centre of Bracknell and essentially offers a fairly uninterrupted road from East Reading to the M3.

4 roundabouts in the road(all dual carriageway roudabouts if you know what I mean) might mean you think it not a bypass but I would err on the bypass tag.

Kindly

Ben

They were obviously talking about the M25, that by-passes Bracknell, and people are always stuck on it

Question

Could it be the by-pass from Sandhurst to Bracknell starting at the Meadows cross-roads leading upto Brackenll? Surely not as I've never seen a traffic jam on their!

Penni,

Cheers for the posting, I saw the advert last night and being the sad git that I am spent most of the night trying to think where it could be. I can to the conclusion that I was hallucinating and he really meant Newbury...

I agree with Ben, the bit that connects the A329 & A322 sort of counts as a bypass. i don't remeber the traffic there being too bad though !
