Why haven't you carried out one of your famous research projects on all religious hatred crimes? Might be a bit too close to home, perhaps?
I wouldn't elaborate and make the sorts of comments you do, as I actually give a **** about whether my generalistic comments may offend people.
Just give it a rest!

1. I am offended and upset about people burning my flag. The response I typed was 12 hours after I first heard the news. An earlier posting wouldn't have been so polite. Please respect my right to be offended without insulting me, okay?
2. If you are insinuating that 'my religion' might be responsible for hate crimes, you are wrong. I have no religion. My parents gave me free choice, and I exercised my brain for about 30 seconds to choose none. You obviously were not given free choice and I pity you for that.
3. Your commentary (condemnation?) on the act itself is remarkable by its absence.
Suresh
Still fuming by the way.

I complained at your way of using that to have a dig at 1.2 billion people.
I was not aware that you have no religion, you have never revealed that before IIRC. I dont have much in the way of religion either, I just dont see that as an excuse for being offensive. Insinuating that I am somehow brainwashed is way off the mark.
Are you saying atheists do not commit crimes of hatred? I bet they do.
If you are so free thinking though, why do your posts seem so one tracked?
Again, why not examine the larger World for crimes of religious hatred? You would seem to be the perfect person to do so, as you follow no religion?
I have made my view on flag burning clear on another thread, i'm not a fan.
Sorry that you are still fuming, you need to take a chill pill. Flag burning may be offensive, but worse things happen at sea, or on London Transport.

Asif, that was me being offended. I was rude and I had a dig.
Note that I didn't threaten anyone with death, or set anything on fire. I just typed something that was somewhat unfair.
I made a choice to be agnostic. I told our friend moses that for years, but he always insisted that I am some kind of BJP extremist - as though it was his belief and that he couldnt possibly be wrong. There is a pattern there.
If a person's religion was chosen for them by their parents and they were indoctrinated whilst still children then one could reasonably argue that they have been 'brainwashed'. I'm sure that if I expanded my point in context that I would only succeed in causing you offence rather than convincing you of anything.
My current affairs posts are indeed sometimes one tracked. With good reason too. Do you realise that the antics of members of one part of the 'asian community' have a dramatic negative effect on other members too? For example, friends of Indian origin in the UK remark that racism in the job market (financial sector) has increased considerably since 2001 and the events of the July 2005 didn't really exactly help accelerate the recruitment of 'educated darkies' into good jobs. They are not the only ones who are affected.
I actively distance myself from those who would drag me down in as much as I can. This is the behaviour that you are seeing. It's not that unreasonable is it?
By the way, I noticed a 'hate crime' in the news today which totally floored me as it's irony was obviously lost on those perpetrating it.

" The Los Angeles-based Simon Wiesenthal Centre is constructing a Museum of Tolerance on [a 1000 year old muslim] cemetery. The centre says the museum will seek to promote "unity and respect among Jews and between people of all faiths". "
I think they're mad to be honest. We'd be much better off without religious fanatics.

P.S. Poor Guy - I know how you feel mate.

Oh, and please do try to learn the customs of your resident country and learn Dutch. You wouldn't make such a complete *** out of yourself by trying to score with a 60 people demonstration.

As always, assumptions are the mother of all ****ups. If you would have truly been British, you would have known that Sadly, you are between 3 cultures now, and it seems to hurt
Maybe one has to assume furriners don't really "get it".
