Default reverse inlet manifold

My question is.

Will it have to be remapped before hand. The reason I ask is that the only major differences are:
1 The pistons are 1mm bigger than the original ones.
2 Fueling is now done by parrallel rails with an SX FPR.

Could I start the car and run it in on Andys last map??
bearing in mind the car will not be running boost over the factory wastegate 0.5 bar and it wont be going over 4000rpm.

I dont think it would need a map until its run in.
would someone clarify this for me.

Cheers
Daz

great thread here!

Loads of info - some of the linked pictures around the middle of the thread dont work anymore.

Loads of new bits needed for my Sti RA rebuild... not going to the same power as yours, I'll be happy with 400bhp for now

It's been a fair while since I posted in this thread.

I finally had the car on the dyno today. Rightly or wrongly its still on the 2.0L VF28 map but all has been ok for around 5000 miles now so I thought I'd dyno it before it gets mapped.

I set the AVCR to hold boost to 1.4 bar which it does very well indeed.

Anyway it made 452bhp at 6480 RPM

Torque was way lower than I expected at 360 ft lbs. But I'm putting that down to the fact that it is still on the 2.0L map. So I'll be expecting more once it's mapped at a peak of 1.6 bar until I go forged in the spring.

Here's the printout.
