But saxo's are cheap plastic french rubbish. and not very fast.

my old vts used to eat 172's !

i remember racing a big lad in a 172 once, 130 flash flash he moves over, prob expectin head wind to block me... me thinks not. straight off the clock by about 1 inch @ 7400rpm in 5th bye bye 172 ! and we had raced of at least 3 roundabouts.

160bhp in a 106gti or vts will suprise most of u lot on here.

i used to abuse Vr6's/r5 gtt/escort turbs/nova 2litre couple of times/ mates 200bhp integra - that was fun, pushing him from 30mph to 120mph

You've shown some footage, but with no proof its actually you driving!
That footage could of been down loaded from anywhere!
My proof is in how I drive, not some short video clip.

You have however got me interested to know more about your car.

How many mpg?

Cheap to insure?

How much to buy?

Im interested as I would like a cheaper car to run daily.

Cheers,

Steve

If it isnt my car, nor me driving I couldnt answer any of those questions now could I?

How many MPG ..... If you run a scoob or skyline less than that.

Cheap to insure .....define cheap, no modded cars are cheap

How much to buy ..... have a look in auto trader, to buy unmolested reasonable money if you can find one. To buy modified, whatever the buyer is willing to pay

Daily runner? ....... not convinced

Personally its of little interest to me whether you believe me or not.

Still interested to see or hear about your experience though. If i'm going to be disappearing in your rear view mirror as you stated .... its nice to know what im up against.

I dont think so.........Drive a car at 3/4 revs with someone telling me to slow down slow down, while paying a fortune for the privalige (spelling) thats not for me.....

If you want to do something like that go to Mallory park and book the 3 hour driver training session. Thats worthwhile.

If you are serious about driving your car on track which from the sounds of it you havent before? then get some tuition from somewhere like Mallory park.

I did the Tuition course there and got to rag a 225 cupra leon round for virtually 2 hours solid. Its also a casing point for a hot hatch beating a supercar. We were lapping quicker than the supercars and also passed an instructor in a Focus RS taking someone for a paid 3 lap ride

The instructor was excellent and helped me with the areas I wanted him too.

I would recommend it .....

Of course being a skyline owner, nobody will be quicker than you

Nice to see a few of the SSC on here PIE CJ, G SLEIGH

Pie your saxo wasn't going too fast at Southport as couple of years ago

Cheap ****roen fun flimsy quality good little engine mine was about 135-140 and would see my GTI6 to 100 then would die off and the Pug would kill it well into 3 figures

THis will always happen and there are always exeption to the rule M3 Vs VTS but you have to spend mega bucks

Yeah a Saxo beat an M3 but at the end of the day you are paying for a lot more than 1/4mile times when you buy a car usually

It will always happen and will always get 6 page replies on all forums

I had 2 saxos and gave a good bang for your buck but you can't drive em forever (Although not sure about G think he will keep it forever!!!)

aka hairymonkey for the ssc guys!

Quick Reply: Saxo VTS vs UK Turbo Impreza??
