and it was soooooooooooo cold and windy just stood there watching, id have gone and waited in my mates r32 but he was on the actual start line ready to go, along with a new blue r32, so i hibernated in the 'pod' shop for about an hour!

Simple point for me was a remapped Cupra allegedly pushing out 260, 270?
Read the post will you....!!!

It was a remapped Cupra NOT AN R, this would have been pushing about 210bhp.... less than the WRX without PPP.... so the Leon did mighty well.

If it was a Cupra R remapped, the WRX would have been beaten

I except that some of my poor times were down to my own inexperience, and I can shave a few tenths off, but there is no way that I can get that car under 14 seconds. It just runs out of puff, at about 80mph.

Anyone got any ideas on what could be wrong, or what I do to it to get some better times?

Thanks
Get someone who knows how to 1/4mile to have a go and see if they can get it under 14s. That will eliminate any driver error.

If the results are still not as they should be, then it may be worthwhile having the car diagnosed on a RR.

Good on the guy for posting his times, and that of the Cupra
now dont get me wrong i like scoobies but the best place for the engine if you want quick 1/4ers is in a volkswagen i was running 99.6mph with a 2.2 legacy nat asp engine.i think the wrx with nitrous might go a bit quicker.and i get better 60fts out of a vw pickup with legacy engine
