oh dear was stopped on a clear section of the motorway not a car in sight at WAIT FOR IT .................................................. .........................84.1mph t0553r5 I have now 9 points after shaking off 3 not 2 weeks ago hope i can make it till september without another incident can anybody tell me were i stand if i get pulled again because i depend on the car for work./ the copper was of shall i say( ) sarcastic and was teaching me how to proceed in a prompt manner back on the motorway witch i did by kindly showing him a AWD prompt take off and moving a few stones on to the front of his car .................................................. ........................Then got pulled again bollocked and timed it right to see all in his polo
on a last note its ironic i was talking to miss/mrs corradoboy (helen) today about what we thought of those dithering so and so's that do about 28mph were ever they go and the proper time to speed whoops (oh and my mums given me a right rollocking....,every time you go on those track days something happen e.t.c e.t.c)
i for 1 will not change my views on the correct time to speed and in my eyes that was one perfect example
PLEASE DO NOT POST TO TELL ME THAT THE SPEED LIMITS ARE THERE FOR MY SAFETY AND I WAS IN THE WRONG OR ILL BE FORCED TO HUNT YOU DOWN WITH A PACK OF ONE LEGGED SPACE PIGIONS AND YOU DON'T WANT THAT!

Look at previous threads lol..
Me and Sticky passed you while you were on the hard should, helping the officer with his enquiries a good bit after you pulled away from us with a wave.
Was struggling to see how Paul and Al passed you, but that will be because you got pulled twice
no preaching from me mate, allthough we did stick to the speed limit

Top tip Jak - have your rear bumper flapping in the wind, it's a great way of making sure you pootle along at 60 all the way home.
Sorry to hear about your points it's a joke and let's face it if you were in a micra you wouldn't have been pulled.
Good to meet you fella anyway, see you when I'm all patched up

Harsh mate... BTW, your second pull away was also a little 'positive'..... It kicked up lots of dust which could be seen further than the blue lights...
I didn't mention that I didn't think you'd spotted me as I passed... as soon as I realised you had when I saw the FPN pressed against the window alongside your half cheesy grin..
How long do 3 points last?

I have a lot of respect for Police (as some may know) but this kind of attitude to doing 84 on a pretty empty Motorway in very good conditions is beyond me...
It's really this type of Policing that starts people off with the 'aren't there some real criminals to be caught?' comments....... Easy prey and an easy target.. if it had been a true 90+ then I probably wouldn't be stepping up to argue... neither if it had been the first three points.... but handing out another 3 to someone on 6 makes Scameras look like a decent option...

As has already been mentioned, absolutely top day if a little chilly.
Big thanx to Dave and others for all the effort in making this happen
Also big thanx the Mark for assisting with changing my wheels but more importantly for noticing the locking wheel nut key still sitting in the locking wheel nut, after I'd been on track 3 times getting the track wheels off could've proved very interesting if it hadn't been for his sharp eyes,
Looking forward to september when I will hopefully have some track day tyres that actually have some grip

Although the X, and Evo's in general are incredibly capable, I have my own misgivings about the electronic assistance which makes these cars so capable. My passion is for driving, and when the driver becomes secondary in the equation as to how a car performs then something is lost. It's this which has me yearning to drive RWD again, and had I sold the Scoob recently, before I got back behind the wheel of another I planned to have a play with some RWD driving machines such as the M-Coupe or 350Z. Cars which ultimately may well be beaten on track or road by any Scoob or Evo, but give satisfaction and excitement in spades to a true driver, rather than flatter those whom may not be capable by doing much of the work for them. Of course, I do love my Scoob, and eagerly await the opportunity to drive another Evo, especially an X whenever that may be as they are still awesome cars.
Was that waffle, or did I make any sense

A big thanks to Dave & everybody for organising & running the day.
Thanks to Barry too for the hot laps, you don't realise how tight some of those corners are from the sidelines, especilly the hair pin with the big tyres, eh Barry.
I will have to get out there next time in one car or another.
I had to pick some stuff up from Linclon on the way back so left abit early, but past Simon on the way back just joining the M62, and noticed a dent on the side, hope it as'nt too bad.
Mark.

Just like to post my thanks to you all for organising an excellent day. Shame about the cold wind as it meant it wasn't much good for standing around chatting in between runs.
I will definitley be up for it in september, the sooner a date is sorted the better.
In the meantime its back to pondering what is the most cost effective way of having maximum fun. How long can I risk the sensible family estate (blue wagon) before we have some problems or is it time to get a track only car on minimum budget????
