Martin

Even I don't know the final figures.......

Robocop

That rumour is erroneous, IM have no issue at all with the warranty.

Unfortunately not, the calibration has been done to suit that hardware spec and seemingly small differences can make quite large differences to the calibration to sort boost control etc.

Bartop

The details will be out as soon as they are available but until we've completed all the tests I can't give you accurate numbers.

depends which dealer and if your mapper is good likely to be more powerful, more driveable and better value for money than ppp-and usually aftermarket companies are better are sorting out niggles than prodrive are from my p[ersonal experience anyway

is that because the ppp is unable to adapt due to it being a generic map rather than and individual ecutek map?

i thought the final figures would have been sorted a long time ago as release was suposed to be feb/march ie next week

So by "sorting out niggles" you mean replace warranty items in the first 3 years (or 60k) of ownership?

No...didn't think so.

how did this get to be a slanging match?

the simple truth is:

£600 ish -> no warranty & poss neg effect of value of car in future
£1600 ish -> warranty & poss positive effect on value of car in future

power/driveability will be similar although it is not comparing like for like cos the ppp kit changes the exhaust and a few other bits too.

It depends on whether you want to take the risk versus the extra £1000 for the warranty.

Should you not have the testing complete by now and the product in the field? You are loosing money and business at the moment.......Pull your finger out man

What a way to run a business

I'll not crawl around you like the rest of them do

they are not losing business because the subaru dealer network can officially take your money for the PPP pack as it is in the new accessories catalogue - just cant get it done at the moment.

they'll be gaining business soon ... from engine rebuilds out of warranty when all the 400bhp engines tuned for a fistfull of halfords vouchers come in for repair.

Should have been sorted for release of car - definately a huge selling point, think they should have Prodrive springs as part of upgrade though - not got any on mine yet and the 'hopping' up the mway is driving me insane...!

dont know too much on the technicals but they lower it slightly about 25mm they quote and seem to be much better at reducing the bobbing and getting the handling right
