Default NATIONAL WAGON MEET #############

For all those wagons attending the National wagon meet

here is the instructions for the NBO wagon stand

please read the instructions

print out

and eat them !!!

see you all at the NBO

same position

same stand size 70 by 40 yards

and of course if you want me to park my green wagon on it i would be honoured again !!!

#####################################

well as most clubs planning allready underway here is some guidelines for your elected NBO stand managers to print off and digest in your quest for the Gold !!

NBO6 Car club competion ####

This has developed in the last few years to a fantastic level and the Gold Cup is awarded to the best Club Display in the Land .

this year the clubs taking part are

1 Cumbrian Scoobs CS

2 TTS

3 LADS

4 SMACS

5 WYIOC

6 '555 Wagon Squadron'

7 Ayreshirescoobies.com

8 RB5 Group

9 RB320 club

10 CADS

11 North yorkshire subaru owners club

12 midland scoobies

13 series Mcrae owners club

14 Type RA owners club

An increse of 3 over last year

-------------------------------
There is NO COST for having a club stand although every car entering the NBO field pays the £5 min donation to the charity buckets -No Exceptions

If any other club eg sport, terzo or any new region wants to have a seperate club display please let me know before the end of april as we are planning to fill the whole edges this time with clubs and traders leaving enough space on the centre for the ....'new Arena '''

So the size of your stands are 70 foot wide 40 foot deep and the height of low flying aircraft !!
smaller have sizes are available if reqd .

The spaces will be allready marked out for you when you arrive thanks to Gussy the ringmaster and super Roo from CS ,thanks in advance to them for getting up at 5am for this task from their NBO mobile HQ (cheap tent from Aldi)

The sizes have been perfected from last year and will fit 18 cars in BUT

the judges felt less is best and you have to ask yourself the question
Do you want your club stand to be cluttered?
Too many cars the same ?
letting every car on just to please the members ?
your Club tent squashed in the corner?
Or do you want it to be a little bit different ?

looking at last years judgeing sheets the highest scores were with the club stands that had fewer cars on ,postioned wisely and leaving more space for other attractions as a perfect example of the LADS who left more then enough space for their History section and scaletrix ""
the winner had the most of everything in the sections

This year we have added a few new ones to test you all ""

The Club stand judges are

Lord harding (CS/TTS )NBO Chairman
Martin (TTS Chairman )
Gussy (CS chairman )
Mark <the terzo> who set new standards 2 years ago and was promoted to a senior position to help drive the NBO concept to a higher level with his <visions> and Ideas for club layouts

and a new Twist !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There will be a 5th judge who will Mystery shop you all so be on your guard !!! and his/her points will be added to the overall score sheets !!

The points will be awarded out of 400 with every judge scoring out of 100 ,Mark the terzo will calculate them up for the scores along with the Mystery shopper judge

The sections and points are

CLUB STANDS

Banners /signage 20
Bunting/ flags 20
Use of colour/equipment 20
Space uses wisely 20
position of vehicles 20
impact of display 20

120 maximum score
----------------------------------------
CARS

Variety of modles 20
good standards of cars 20
Boards and specs on cars 20

60 maximum score

------------------------------------------
CLUB HEADQUARTERS

Quality of tents/ equipments 20
club info/leaflets etc 20
Catering/hospitalility 20
SWAG and kid friendly 20

80 maximum score
------------------------------------------
Club members /Activities

Enthusiasm 20
Details of club activities 20
Club Regaila /uniforms 20
Club structure 20

CLUB STRUCTURE 80 maximum score
-----------------------------------------------

WOW FACTOR !!!

Mystery shopper report 20
The X Factor 20
Club Theme 20

IMPACT ON THE DAY 60 maximum score

--------------------------------------------

notes on the above to help the club stand managers

does your entry look good ?
are you advertsing your club ?
If it was a shop would you go in?
did you plan it out beforehand?
Cars is there lines of scoobies crushed together or just a few select modles looking their best ?

Remember we have the show Arena for the entries for the car of the day
are all cars on show looking their best with spec sheets
(you will see only max 60 points are awarded for this section as there is more to a club display then just cars !!!
Is your Club HQ looking fantastic ,this is your headquarters ,your conference room and rest area Does it look the part ?

Do you have club documentation ,leaflets ,buisness cards photos etc?
Have you refreshments for your troops and guests? Have you developed the SWAG section (Subaru wives and girlfriends ) and activies for any Subaru children as we have become more mainstream /family orintated rather then just men dressed in jeans and T-Shirts ?

There is 80 points for this so plan it out well!!

Club members make the group

Are they Buzzing and passionate and as excited as Lordy and the judges
or are they standing around bored and thinking of the Footie ?
Are they advertsing their club and scoobies or addias and umbro?
Is the club well organised with structure and meetings ?
does the appointed stand manager shine and is he committed ?

The mystery shopper will be wandering around so be on your guard !!
The X Factor !!!

Has the complete stand and staff got it?
Does the judges walk away thinking that was fantastic and wishing they were part of that club ?

and a new thing this year !!!

A Theme ####

We would like every club to come up with a theme for the day ,it can be anything scooby OR non scooby

It could be dressing up ,collections , a new display, some thing different ?
---Its your choice ----
that is your club theme for the day and you will get 20 points for that and that tied up with the X factor could make you a winner ,

good luck for the gold !!

Lordy

Default No More Bars

Decided to remove the roof rails on my wagon today, seen this done a lot in America but haven't seen many done in the UK and certainly haven't seen any blobeyes with this mod

Was nervous at first removing all the trim but after reading loads of threads from America it all went quite easy and i didn't have to remove the headlining as they say

All in all i think it looks a lot better but then i would say that

Before

After

*Tumbleweeds Blow across this post*

However, Plug for my FSTI for sale.

New jobs means will be working in Paris a lot and other european travel and so a lot of money now tied up in what is now coming a weekend toy when i'm back. Change in original plans, so now Looking to buy something back as a cheaper toy, therefore px considered - Earlier FSTI, Scooby Wagon, Evo, Nice Golf GTI/R32, Clio 197, BMW Mini Cooper S etc or just a runaround till decide what else to buy back.

Cheers all

Roof Rail Delete Trim N/S - 91046FE011 X 1
Roof Rail Delete Trim O/S - 91046FE001 X 1
Roof Rail Delete Bracket - 91024FA001 X 4
Roof Rail Delete Trim Clips - 909130022 X 14 (I Didn't need all of these as most of them didn't break when i removed the old trim)
Roof Rail Delete Trim Cap - 909300044 x 2

Cost was around £140 (probably more now) and took about 3-4 hours but i was taking it slowly

There are a few guides on NASIOC, most guides say you have to remove the headlining but you don't have to but make sure you remove all the A-B-C pillar trims so you can get your hands under the headlining to get to the nuts that hold the roof rail & and the replacement brackets on
