At work, so had plenty of time to have a review of this thread, and post up some final thoughts before we go on.
As I said at the beginning, I want people to spend the day there this time. We all need to be at Prosport together for the duration of the runs, and no buggering off as soon as your done. The exception to this will be pimmo2000 and barnesy, and my soon to be added mate from work. They are on nights the night before, so will obviously be wanting to go to bed. I will be at Prosport for around 8am, and will give the lads a hand setting up, and hopefully get the 3 mentioned above sorted. If you could all arrive by 9am then we can get things rolling (sorry!) as soon as possible. We have 14 runners atm, which is an excellent turnout, and also means we can squeeze a few more in. So, gill95, can you ask your sister if she still wants to run, as she is more than welcome to come along. I've also asked a lad from work who owns a VW GOLF VR6, and as a night worker, he's going to come down early and run too. Some of you may remember Martin from my works as well, in the silver automatic classic? He's about to buy a my02 from scoobyclinic, and if he can get a babysitter, will do a run too. Again, another night worker, so we'll be busy when you all arrive by 9am
There will be no order of runners, as I made that mistake last time, published it on the web, and saw people turn up just before they were due to run Once we are all there, we'll start proceedings proper after the night boys have done
I will be coming round on the morning collecting both the cash, £40, (can you bring it in £35 + £5 for the charity please) and to get you to sign the disclaimer. When I do that, I want your guess for the total overall Brake Horsepower figure on the day.
Now, it has been suggested that the winner of the money, gets to donate it to a charity of thier choice, but wouldn't it be better if we designated a charity for all our fundraising this year, and then donated a big fat cheque in one go. That way, we could maybe get the press coverage the chief so craves How about "CHILDREN IN NEED"? I can picture us all turning up to tv centre in manchester in a scooby convoy, and handing over a cheque for x pounds, good idea, or **** poor?
Thats enough of my ramblings for now, see you all on thursday at the unicorn,
chris.

The Children in need idea sounds great... not sure if theres a need to guess the power now though
Good news on the work front, although sadly I will be in work Firday night, I do have sat off, due to not wanting to crash on my way home I'd rather do the early planned run and then shoot off later, but this does mean I wont be running away as soon as I'm done. Depending on tiredness I may make the whole day.... Anyway as it stands its me in my Near Bog Classic.. anyone laughs at my results and I will ... cry.
Anyone know if theres a Mackies near by for my Breaky ?
Again looking forward to actually meeting someone this time

We could do with rasing a little more really, not that we are a stingy lot or anything i am waiting replies from local Subaru dealers for goodies we can perhaps raffle off.
Children in need sounds good to me, or alternativley The Chief appreciated fund (joke)
Ok Children in need is everyone in agreement with that Charity???
I was thinking could we have a collection at our work places, might get a bit more in the kitty? what does everyone think?
It woudl be better if we handed over a cheque for 2-300 quid as opposed to 75 quid'ish.
Suggestions please

Lets walk before we try to run. I think for a first charity event it is more than enough. I would also like to think everyone can donate IF they want to, as I do not want to put people off who feel we will bleed them dry on their first event.
There will be more opportunity later in the year and CW has some good ideas up his sleve, so lets take it slowly.
I also thought that the winner chooses the good cause to recieve the funds, that was the whole idea behind it? I have chosen a local one which helps my community, and who would be happy with any donation regardless of size. It is also related to cars, which I though appropriate.
All IMHO, so we can discuss on Thursday.
