So how did the spec c get involved Ian was asking about a WR1 v MY06 Sti. The Spec c is out of his chosen budget.

And you have never spent more on a car than you intended?

And to add to T-Uk the Spec C also has slightly wider tyres to go with the sharper suspension set up. Oh and a twin scroll...

...all so last year

...just the like the 2.5l so 2002

forgot about the wider tyres.

should have mentioned the twin scroll too , being the reason the spec-c will probably be stronger low down and up top than the UK car.

one of the problems I feel with the "special edition" UK cars is why they do not use more of the JDM parts or even remove the better parts.

eg. wr1- take a my04 UK , spray a pish colour and fit dccd and springs .for the price , they should have given it a full spec-c engine and twin scroll imo.

I did but wouldn't again, I'd have a BMW Diesel and an AWD turbo monster.

So here we go again .......

The WR1 cost no more than the sum of its parts, and you got cheap insurance! The colour is a matter of taste, as are gold alloys..... We all know you can get imports that are "better", depending upon your criteria. You pay your money etc....
