Default A fine gentleman...

A few years ago I used to run a support race in the British Touring Car championship. I got hold of richards email address and asked if he fancied coming along for a day. He actually took the time out to reply and pass on his wishes. Great guy, and a rallying hero that will be missed. Brett

Another very sad day for the Rally world, such a talent who would have won more championships and fought hard against his illness and lost the battle at a young age I hope his sad loss isn't hidden by that of the football world !
RIP Richard and thank you for all the gravel/mud you have covered me in you were ace

He was a great guy who would always take time out to speak to fans. He even took time out to post on scoobynet.

gutted

Not just becuase he was a talented sportsman.
It is truly sad that a young life in it's prime is snuffed out at 35.

I had hoped about the speculation regarding his recent condition had been exaggerated.

RIP.
