Very sad news. Richard was a nice guy. He showed great courage during his fight with cancer.
I hope his family and friends can take some comfort from him achieving his life long ambition to become World Champion, which meant so much to him.
Thanks for the fun in following you on the stages Richard, rest in peace.

Heard this on Saturday morning.
For the first time in a long time, I felt genuinely saddened.
He's only a year older than me, and it reminds you how fragile life is.
He will be missed.

Just one more look at the car itself:
I can say nothing that hasn't been said on here already, a very sad day for a sport already in mourning for Beef.
Secondly, on a lighter note, I can confirm that RB's old car is still in the ownership of the lady who bought it from here.
It's still in as fine a mettle as it was when she bought it, in fact apart from the addition of rear tints and a different set of rims, the car is exactly the same as it is in the photos above.
I'm off there in a mo and will pass on the enquiry!!

RB5 Club Chairman Mark is designing one at the moment, Should hopefully have one to look at very soon. Also hopefully when the Public memorial Service has been announced a lot of us will try to attend to pay our respect.

I have been looking on the swrt website for some nice pictures of Richard to use as wallpaper. I picked the winning year of 2001.
There are some nice pictures of Richard in the section, came across many of Michael Park too, which made it even more upsetting.
The only good thing is that Richard is no longer in pain.

I'm devastated, really shocked and numbed. Watched him since he looked so young you'd think he'd nicked the car. My greatest memory of him was in a scooby coming flat out around a long bend, loads of oversteer on the Halfway stage. It went beyond physics how he stayed on the road, awesome.
Thought he was getting better. very very angry that he sad loss isnt 'mentioned' as much as others recent demise. His loss deserves to be mentioned and his acheivements remembered. Nice blokes with integrity don't often do too well in modern sports, but he acheived that.
34 is that all? I'm sure plenty of us have passed that mark. Lets all remember how lucky each one of us is to have our life and the love of those around us. My thoughts go out to his family and Robert Reid.
I am so upset, really upset.
RIP Burnsie

It really Pisses me off that that **** Head George Best gets splashed all over the media when he has engineered his own death over such a long period of time.
Bestie has been arrested for Wife beating and a number of other crimes that most normal people would frown upon over the years yet still he gets Hero Status.
Then you get a True British tallent like Burnsie who never put a foot wrong and died in such a tragic way and the F*cking Press won't give him the time of Day.
Heart breaking I reckon I like Many will miss his presence.
