Good idea to get supers face as the driver "5th gear and it just goes"

Thought you might have blobbed out his face.

Looks and sounds very nice chris, cant wait to see it in the flesh.

Thanks beefy.
While I was over there that day, I took a couple of pictures of Dales monster my02 spec c, which we'll see on the rollers in Feb.

Pictures don't really do it justice at the mo', as he's put a lot of work into this car. The carbon undertray at the rear is very nice
Hopefully I'll get a chance to photograph it again in the future, maybe if he ever comes out on a run

Hi Chris,

I notice your torque figure of 291lb/ft is down on the quoted ppp figure of 300lb/ft. Do you know what torque the car was producing before the powerstation remap?

Cheers.

I'm going to post some more about this after our rolling road at prosport, but in answer, yes, it is down on the ppp figure previously. I've been in touch with powerstation, and rich reckons it's to do with the way thier rr works. It is going to be very interesting getting my Powerstation mapped car, and supertourings wrc tech mapped car on the same rollers, both my03 sti's with around 30k on them.

Just to give you an idea, I remember getting 329 last year on Prosports rollers and 291lb ft with Full decat and PPP, MY03 STi.

I am going on TEG's rollers on Saturday, I now have Andy F tek 3, ported headers and APSCAIK, I'll let you know what happens.

alanjack, whats this? APSCAIK?

Rusty, thanks m8, I like to put together a good guide as to what is possible with a good budget looking at doing the bushes next, then saving hard for the ast's,

thanks for the explanation alan

yeah, it was a pity tony, but I had another guy from down south with the same wheels in a newage fitment for sale as well, but can't afford it at the mo'

Who is the **** in the video? And where was the bit I recorded?
[baddiel & skinner mode on]thats you that is[b&d mode off]
and the bit you recorded, which was ok for the first part, but the second part, where I drove down the hill, and you managed to film the grass/road/wall in quick succession
Keep working on those filming skills super, luckily your not providing all the film for the smacs 2006 dvd

Nice car you've got there, glad to hear your happy with the remap and everything

Feel like an idiot asking this but what is the square box thing in the below pic on the right, looks like its attached to the towing hook and close to the new anti-roll bar bush??

Reason im asking is my STi5 doesnt have one....nor does it have a rear towing hook actually, wonder where that went

cheers

It's an evap / emissions catch tank for the fuel vapours.

Classic one (sti-5) is under the bonnet by the radiator (although it's cylinidrical)

UPDATE: As we've all done our rolling road day yesterday, and everyone got what they were expecting, with only a few surprises, I thought I'd better come back to here and update
So, after powerstations rolling road figure of 331bhp/291lbft torque, yesterday at Prosport I got 350.7bhp/343.9lbft torque which is very nice. I always felt the car was a lot more powerful than the powerstation figures suggested, and certainly had a feeling of a lot more torque than 291. To back up the figures produced by my car yesterday, there were a number of cars running that had been on rollers elsewhere, that came out with similar power to previous runs, so I think Prosports rollers are very consistent.

On another note, and to hopefully kick start my pc install in this new car, the screen was delivered to me yesterday after Nige had done his bonding stuff
Had a go at fitting it in today:

This will eventually be showing my car pc, which is currently in the loft, once ****** installed it and some uprated component speakers all at the same time.
Like in my classic, the pc will be running bespoke front end software playing mp3's (about 20gigs worth!) radio, cd's and dvd's and satnav with poi's and speed camera warnings. On top of that, the newage cars, 01 onwards, are able to run the ecutek software that opens your cars diagnostic port upto graphical display, like this: http://www.ecutek.com/products/incardash/
Just reading up on that site, and with an extra £99 plug in hardware adapter, I can monitor the engine oil temp and other sensors as well

Hopefully all this will be going in over the coming months, in the meantime I'm still saving for my 18" rally wheels and ast's

chris.

Finally got round to giving the engine bay a good clean

using P21S from www.polishedbliss.co.uk, then polished the wheels and used my new Natty's wheel paste for protection afterwards:

I've also started a whole thread in electrical about my experiences with the Drive-Smart safety camera locator here
