I beg to differ Simon, if you listen to any radio station you have no choice but to listen to the stuff we grew up with 15+ years ago because most of the modern acts are either as dull as sh!te, Coldplay, Travis, etc. or, they are just recycling their parent's record collections, Oasis, Coldplay, Stereophonics, Robbie Williams, et al

You have to really search these days for decent original material, a lot more than used to be the case, so I would imagine most people don't bother and stick with that which they know to be good.

Correct. I pay no attention to reviews or radio anymore. MTV2 or VH2 influences me these days.
