As some people have said the badges on the back are fairly random, however UK PD150's are supposed to be badged "Gti" with a red "i"

Autocar quote the 130 as 8.6 to 60 but dont list the 150.
Way to go is a Fabia VRs for 11k new, chip, intake mod and filter for about 600 quid and you have a reliable economical 180 bhp car.

Mn-Angrybeats,
I see your point, my plan is to get a Diesel for day to day use and some kind of classic to have a bit of fun with, i.e. something RWD, put some decent modern mechanicals in and perhaps go drifting, for example a Volvo Amazon with a 200 SX motor, Capri or something of that ilk. My wife has an urge for both a Fiat 500 (had one until a few years ago) and a Mustang, 1968 Fastback, Boss or Mach 1.
Most driving is dull anyway so you may as well have something that suits and Diesel motors are lovely around town (if you are in it, if not they fookin stink), plus 180 bhp in a little car is fun whatever the fuel)
I have given up on performance petrols for daily transport, frustrating and expensive.

I have an S reg(so early) GT tdi 110 - I do 60 miles a day and generally get 50-55mpg . I paid 6k for mine(FSH, very tidy car with 52k miles). Its been brill so far, faultless, easy to drive - goes amazingly well, looks good, interior lovely, sits in the company car park with the BMWs without looking old or out of place. Id have another one, any day! Id go for the 130 or 150 next time but I was on a tight budget and didnt want high miles - Id take it to jabbasport to be chipped up then
