Needless to say i was delighted with the result.

i def was expectin more, pulled 1.4bar the whole way through, feels wicked quick..would have been better if i was there on my own with martin, he was rushin so much he didnt really have time to mess about, i might give him a shout and get him to have a proper look at the map, and maybe add more 114ron to the tank, as the "95" im gettin at the station is probably 93ron or somethin

How effective is the rolling roads tmic cooling fan (I'm assuming there is a dedicated tmic fan ) and how long is the run duration ?
Both these factors can have a massive effect on results.

So now you think the fuel might have been to blame?

Whatever gave you that idea? You're a very clever man.

blame? theres no blame here man, just trying to figure out a few factors thats all.. @ Andy F, there wasnt a tmic fan like powerstations right over the tmic, but he had another fan that joins onto the normal fmic fan if ya get me?that seemed to do a pretty good job,put my hand on the i/c after the test and it wasnt warm..not sure exactly of the duration, wasnt that short anyway!

might try her on another RR just to compare, has ayone ever used a chassis dynometer instead of the RR?? supposed to be more "accurate" than a rolling road

MAHA/SUN rolling roads operate differently then Dyno Dynamics ones.

The car is loaded differently on the MAHA/SUN RR's, meaning the run's are longer.

Regardless of load method, it always makes sense to use a rr that best replicates the conditions on the road, regarding airflow and temperatures associated with that.

No good having a car on a set of rollers that only has one fan producing say a 30mph wind, when the car is running at over 100mph and then expect figures to be accurate.

Not suggesting the above last statement is specific to any rolling road, but you get my drift regarding conditions.

Of course no such conditions can be replicated in any cell that I know of (that is accessible to joe soap), but in the same vein some places are much better than others.

Regards,
Shaun.

Ahem, anyone -apart from Shawn- want to respond to Andy's critical point above rather than being rude to each other?

He did the map afterall and damn sure knows his stuff about RR!

I was running 95 octane with NF octane booster, previously when we had

97 octane i got 356 bhp, and with 95 octane 305bhp,

so shows what the change in fuel does,

also my setup was done in TSL.

Are you still using the oxygen sensor ?. As far as I know in order to get 106 or above octane count, lead has to be in the fuel mix. This would cause the car not to run correct.
