As far as I know the HKS kit is one of the best out there but to be honest my car isn't anywhere near it's potential power wise and it's in storage at the mo cos I'm working abroad a while so I can't really comment.
Believe the CRD 600hp impreza uses a HKS kit? May be wrong.

The GT30R is rated as a 500bhp turbo. Does what it says on the tin.
If you want more power, as Mark says (Lateral), use fancy fuels or get a bigger turbo. Simple.

I would say I have around 600hp at the moment, it was 562before the race fuel and the swap to a GT35/42 Hyrbrid
But if you want a full spec I would look at something similar to what I use..

That's the last time I complain about the 1k it'll take me to get my car up to a nice and safe, 270ish bhp
The original poster could also consult Roger Clark Motorsport for specification advice. Quite a few of the big bhp Scoobies seem to have used them at some point.

Yep, CRD use a JUN stroker kit. Comes complete with chocolate rods, of the bendy variety........... IIRC, they have bent 7 rods, yes 7 !!!.
Jap stroker kits are over priced, and you can buy the required parts for a fraction of the price.

nope, it was 450bhp at the wheels during one mapping session..
I can probably make the power without race fuel, as it was 562.4bhp at 28psi with optimax, it now runs 2bar on a bigger turbo and is a different car on the road.. much more of a handfull. Passengers now dont scream, they physically cant!!

I think I should buy one of these big turbos to see what it can do on the rollers, then swap back to the 30R and leave the big one on display in the garage.

I dont run it on race fuel for bumping the figures up, I run it on race fuel as its more consistent than pump fuel, and for the mileage the car does its worth it.
Still might have close to 600bhp but its not doing the times on the drag strip.. but it has done a 11.43 @ 133 with a 1.990 60ft.. cant wait to see what it will do when I get a dog box with some better ratios in it. As for the car on the road, the last videos I posted sum it up..

Would love to, but a great friend of ours, (soon to be yours), has been slow in producing a sump, thus the engine sits on stand, winged sumpless, waiting to go back into the car and have a twin plate exede fitted at the same time.
Admittedly the engine came out for the clutch and it was me who decided to wait for the sump, but that's not the point.
Whilst we are at it, can you remove the water oil separator that has been promised to me and put it aside so that it can be brought down south and not forgotten by its former owner? I am amassing parts for anodising prior to reinstallation.

Just reading through this post, it concludes what i've always thought. Subaru's, fantastic cars with superb engineering (sp) with one thing that lets them down, their owners. Not all of them mind, but the majority. Why can't you accept what this guy is saying and give him some advice, some pointers? this isn't directed to everyone, those who it isn't aimed at, know who you are.

I own a Fiat Coupé 20valve turbo, which beats MOST UK Imprezas. But when I've visited DP Motorsport, I've saw really quick cars, Pulsar GTI-R spinning all 4 in 3rd, in the dry and I recently went out in Louis Roberts' GTI-R whilst it was being mapped, although it was spinning all 4 in fifth at 120mph in the wet. This was ran on optimax, as we had to fuel it up before we went out in it. That was using the GT30R as stated and about 500bhp. So if it is possible for thr GTI-R to run this power/turbo on optimax, then why not the Subaru?
And another thing, why do you pick up on bad spelling? Is it because there is nothing bad to pick up on? You all need to realise that your not working against each other, a forum is supposed to be a friendly place, so why not be positive about what others say? These are the reasons I opted out of buying an Impreza, honestly.
