THEY DONT !

What you can hear is compressed air being forced past the impeller blades on the turbocharger. This happens because the cars dont have any sort of blow off valve. You might also be able to hear the wastegate bleeding excess pressure..... No silly VTA dump vlaves though.

They dont, they use anti lag which is a different thing altogether
