LOL, well as long as we keep each post relevant to the subject it shouldn't be moved.... erm... what weapon unlock should I get next? I've got the medic and spe ops one at the mo. Can't really see the advantage to the spec ops one at the mo, medic gun is pretty good though!

Is bf2 available as a *cough* download for testing purposes u understand, as I guess u cant use a dloaded version to play online right? I've heard great things about this game, and 'would like to try' before purchasing, so that I can join in on the multiplayer action

I have an Amd64 3400+ skt754 (not oc'd) and 9800XT 256mb, 1gig ram. That should be ok for 1024X768 gameplay right?

Someone did that the other week on a.n.other server, there were plenty of cappable bases, but they decided to spawn camp the uncappable one - the admins kicked him - which is fair.

We had a problem tuesday night were some members of a.n.other clan, were on the out skirts of a cappable base, but not taking it, just killing anyone that spawned - now theres a good definition of spawn camping

There are single and multiplayer demos available from eagames.com - you can actually pick this game up now for sub £20 (I've seen it for £20 in game I think) - it has its flaws, but the pros out weight the cons

Anyhow, you set-up will run BF2 at that res, on medium detail I reckon - maybe the odd thing on high (but possible not too).

IMO, it is worth buying, its one of the few games I've played for more than a few hours.

ditto - after playing many *cough* demos - just went and brought it because its worth it - depends what else you play - I am a UT fan and got into blackhawk and CSS, but not the original BF - this once is just so much more playable

Well I'm not a hardcore fps person. I'm more of a driving sim expert. But I was playing COD2 multi recently, and really enjoyed it. And I know bf2 is heaps better (alledgely) than COD2.

Buy it at Game, they have a no quibble 10 day money back guarantee.
It can be awesome when you're on a server where people play 'properly' i.e. in squads led by a good commander.

What he said

I've always been a driving sim fan, but enjoyed the odd FPS, like the original MOH. Bought the likes of Doom3 and HL2, but never got into them.. Also played a bit of UT'04 but could never seem to get any good at it...

BF2 is some more involved than any other game I have played, with commander, squad leaders, squad members, jeeps, tanks, apc, helis, jets and boats... its just mental when the server is full

Everyone welcome

RIP - sorry chap, did you have problems connecting tonight? May be a silly question but are you patched to 1.03 of BF2? Now I know who signed in on our BF2 area

Server was full by about 10:00pm, but room from 10:30 onwards I think.

Sorry if you guys had probs connecting tonight.
Hopefully see you soon.

Hi chap,

If you're interesting in joining the clan, post up on the site about it.
Currently TS is restricted to clan only (what the other members wanted).

Most importantly get on the server on one of the game nights and show us what you're made of!

Once you've done the above I'll see what I can do, but I do need to get agreement from the others - no great shakes

See you on soon I hope, Alex

We only play Tues/Thurs/Sun 9pm onwards at the moment, some practice on the other nights.

Had a wicked time last night, whoever Beefy was, he was less than useful as a commander. All I kept getting was announcments that UAV was available, Artillary was available etc etc. In fact, the 2 maps where we won I was issuing the orders and telling him where to place the artillery etc!

Usual thing happened though, wife went to bed and the connection went down!? Just as I had taken off in an attack helli and one of our swuad spawned into the front seat, so if you're reading this chap, I'm sorry for the helli crashing
