Nice one Alex - I missed that happening!

I managed to get one hell of a score on Karkand last night (the first map) of 166! AND got my first expert badge (Expert Support) I just seemed to be in the right place at the right time with lots of people there to kill I think i had 43 kills and 6 deaths by the end of it

Not bad when i meant to be trying to get my Engineer badge

Kieran & I had a fantastic round on Karkand last night, as he said, he got about 163 odd points, I got 138 - I was about 2 kills off getting an Expert badge *sigh*

Must admit my 'game' went to pot a bit towards the end last night.
But after everyone dropped off the SNAFU server, I popped on the EA UK ZiiP server and had a great time Was the highest scoring on my side by 20 odd points!

This would be the bit when you could be heard over Teamspeak begging for someone to let you kill them then?

The thing is - I knew I must be doing well without referring to the score 'cos EvilMing kept jumping into the APC I driving around in! I could be heard to say at the end that I didn't want the map to end 'cos I wanted to get to 200 points!

By the way - did anyone else notice just how many Snafu guys were on last night? I've never seen so many in one place before

I KNOW! good wasn't it - even taking football in account, theres been a lot of no shows of late - especially on Thursday when it was SF.

BTW guys good time to explain the new plan for map/mode rotations.

Tue - BF2
Thur - AF/EF - unless the clan vote for run SF (unlikely)
Sun - BF2 - unless AF/EF is voted for by the clan.

Hhehe

Who let me be Commander?

Never done that before and found a whole new screen to play with

My first score over 100 too + my first #1 slot

Got a few awards & stuff as well...

Wasn't quite so chuffed the second time I was as UAV and Artie was knocked out and I had to go all the way across the map to repair it myself

I need to get the hang a bit more of bossing people about and bringing in the support. Vehicles are good to drop on the enemy heads

Still much to learn but I've worked out to get the artie targeting better

Heres something useful to know - you can repair the radar or command centre or artillery, by dropping supply crates next to them! makes life a lot easier!

Well played last night, and not bad commanding

Right SNAFU peeps - I've updated the server info on our site (New & Issues).
This includes map orders, and what flavour etc.. we play on a given night - and how you go about getting SF one night.

Lucky for some.. Rest of us have to sit in a stuffy, flourescent-lighted office of fat, bloated, farty businessmen

By the way, DrEvil - I suggest that you give the canopy windscreen of your jet a good wash & polish for Thursday - you seemed to have some...ahem..."visibility" problems in where you were flying last nite.. As both me an JonBoy experienced. Repeatedly. Indiscriminantly. With malice and extreme prejudice.

Eh hem.. er.. yes, but theres a drought order in my area you see, so I'm not allowed to wash the windscreen... thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

I think the worst, erm.. accident last night on wake, was trying to take out the transport chopper at the mec airfield as it was taking off... didn't quite pull up in time, and managed to take myself out along with three others - who possibly werent too impressed...

Still.. early days for me in planes.... I couldnt believe how persistant you and blundy were in taking me out of the sky!

shame theres no game on tonight but hey ho I can wait till tomorrow. I've never really got the hang of the planes, but give me a heli and I'm in my element, although I think they take too few hits before they get blown out of the sky.

Nothing really constructive to say , but it saves the thread from being lost and keeps it on page 1

best way for points is in (knife and pistol only room) (karkand) where they dont let you take none of the maps , u just all out war for 60 mins with pistols , ur killings if u go to a hidin spot on karkand and get assault weapon for the hook , you will get 120 easy kills per match usually 0 deaths unless some ******** starts nading you !!!!

its easy 2000 points per day (blazin_uk) firestorm in top 3 ranks use it , infact blazin just sits on karkand next to the re supply box nowadays , and throws grenades all day long !!!! on a superserver uk

i got bored to death with it after a bit , (now its ghost town all the way in the tank) 60 kills per match on 32 man servers (32 man servers last longer the tickets last longer for you to be in the game)

but that's just stat padding, which is banned on any ranked Server and if anyone is caught on one they get their score zero'd.

I'd personally prefer to work for the rank I get....

how is it stats padding !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hidin in spots is what people do in the army !!!!!!!!!!!

the pistol and knife server is ranked !!!!!!!!! ,

stats padding is when ur doing it on a ranked clan server only !!!!!
where clans sit there and start shootin each other then sit reviving each other

on the pistol server its strictly no clans , just all out war !!!!

im a ghost towner , (im never off ghost town)

i used the pistol and knife to get the knife expert badge , i dont think anyone could be arsed runnin around for weeks gettin there knife badge . . . .

stats padding is something like this :

2) Multiple player stats padding is when two or more players conspire to increase the stats of one or more players in the group. An example would be 4 players get on an empty server and it’s been predetermined by the group that player X will have his stats improved. All players then allow player X to kill them and/or complete the objectives to earn bonus points. If the server begins to fill up with other players, typically the group will either assist each other in ganging up on other players (potentially via ghosting) or will leave.

Edited to Add ,,,,,,,,,,, IM A 1 MAN BAND AND I DONT DO ANY OF THAT PADDIN ABOVE !!!!

actually some people will think base raping it is stats padding , but thats like saying a sniper should be in the middle of the firing line and not out way west snipin the enemy , ive base raped many times in a tank , i always think its war (deal with it) its pc war the aim is to kill people , so if im gettin base raped , i deal with it hahaha ,
whole point is to kill people get points have a laugh ! battlefield is the daddy of war games

battlefield 2 is 1 of only 2 things id like be deserted on an island with , that and rocco does ibiza

Swish - Traveller was referring to the knife and pistol servers, they ARE considered by EA/MPuk to be a breach of the T&Cs, MPuk have closed down a few once someone complains. They seem to think because you are restricting the type of play on a ranked server (clan or no clan), you are in effect 'padding' your stats for specific medals/badges etc..

I'm not saying they are right, just passing on what has been mentioned on the MPuk forums and EA's site before now.
