Sorry to hear whats happened mate, hope you recover soon and we catch the S##ts. There has been a couple of Scoobys nicked near me in Sheffield over the last month.

Please just bear this in mind everyone... .. I and many others(copper's) stop you and go through your Scoobs with a fine tooth comb. One reason hopefully is we will find bits which come from another nicked Scoob or its a ringer. I know it seems a pain in the **** please be patient 'cause if it helps catch these B@~tards then it can only be a good thing.

I would love to pursue them when the cars get nicked but unfortunately people that get paid far more than myself don't really want to see police pursuits. If we should chase in our 2ltr diesel pursuit vehicle(yes diesel!) and god forbid because we are driving on the limit cause the bloody thing won't keep up and we crash... stand by to be suspended from driving and face charges for dangerous driving.

If we do catch them and 'ruffle' there feathers they record it on there mobile phones and yes guess what..suspended and face charges and they get off with it. Most coppers would like to see the S##ts have there feet broken. That might stop them from nicking your cars.

Like most people seem to agree on here the countries gone down the toilet and there doesn't seem to be anything we can do to stop it.

If you want advice on how to avoid this happening... I would say the same sort of advice people receive when there in the forces regarding terrorism.... In built up areas lock your doors when driving, on country roads leave them open incase you need to escape from the vehicle quickly.. vary your route home and times from say work to home and try and observe if something is following you and anything which you feel is strange such as a car drives around with youths looking at your scoob outside your house.. make a note in a diary ...may come to nothing but may help in the future. Sad state of affairs but I have had colleagues followed home by 'wannabee' gangsters who are unhappy with the service they have received. I do it as a matter of course.

Rant over

If you see a WR1 on an 03reg plate in Birmingham then it's probably the one!
(They didn't make them in 2003)
I bet it is the one. If you see it again and get a chance. Have a look to see if its damaged below the nearside rear light and bumper. It was reversed into a post in the first week of having it and he never bothered to get it repaired.
He is not too bothered about getting it back as he now has another car.
Cheers.

Yes car-jacked

Two youths as i was getting out of my car at my home came up to me, one stabbed me twice with a screwdriver in my belly (lard saved me) and i was bashed over the head 3 times with apparently a claw hammer. while on the floor i was repeatedly kicked and stamped on. (still managed to try and get both doors open on the car as the b#'="£d drove off but anti hijack was on)

I have 3 huge gashes to my head = 19 stitches

fractured cheek bone,

heavily bruised ear,

stab wound to the belly,

scuffed to death knees and a few other cuts and bruises

They got away with the car and the police say there has been 6 impreza's stolen in the last 6 weeks around here.

This was an organised attack and looks like they had been checking it out before, could even be someone who reads this site? doubt it though.

So in short i no longer have my pride and joy and have been pretty badly messed up trying to protect it so guys be careful!!

Guess what shock horror tracker as much use as a chocolate fire guard
F'kin hell!

Glad you are recovering mate. So sorry to hear about this.

I hope the police are treating this with the upmost urgency! This isn't just a theft, or even a robbery, as far as I'm concerned the nature of their attack, (stabbed twice and beaten about the head with a claw hammer FFS) means that we have two people who should be on an attempted murder charge on the loose.

Its time to get tough with these scumbags, when caught and convicted they should be looking at life. If they'd robbed a post office (using only threats with a firearm) for an equivalent amount of money, they'd be looking at 10 years. Here we have two people (and I use the term reluctantly) who not only have stolen propery worth a substantial amount off a person, they have also subjected them to injury -without provocation- that could have easily killed them!

I hope you recover quickly and this awful experience hasn't put you off owning a performance car for good.

After reading the above, i'm seriously tempted in getting one of those Tazer/Stun Gun things. Ok, it may be illegal, but taking a claw hammer to the head is bloody frightening.

Nik.
Yes, it's on, on my classic. The doors lock as soon as you turn the ignition, as you say, at least it stops someone jumping in/gragging you out when stationary. The std sigma alarm has lots of useful features.

It seems it's getting harder and harder to get the police to spring into action at all these days.

If you'd said you approached the car and he waved a gun at you they would have responded then, i bet.

Trouble is they'd probably get the wrong car and shoot him instead of the b*stards that are driving round in the ringer.

Angry

Time for someone in the Nuneaton area to drive round on his own in a Scoob at night.................but with four heavily armed guys in it, all lying down?

Time for the police to wake up, stop pursuing speeders to the max and DO SOMETHING CONSTRUCTIVE?

Time the less senior police stopped whining about how the senior guys won't allow this, that and the other, stood up and were counted?

Time to pension off most senior police officers?

Time for a change of governemnt? This shower of **** are only interested in fleecing us...........that is, until it happens to one of them, or their families

im with alcazar on this one, just that i think that 4 blokes is overkill.....just a pistol would do, pop a cap in there face as they try the door handles, or a super soaker with petrol and a match.

...and they're talking about more community sentences instead of jail terms!

I feel very sorry for your ordeal, and only hope these people die painfully. Unless you've met an evil c**t yourself, it's hard to understand the reality of the shock that these people do exist amongst us, not just in some american gangster film.

RANT>>

The problem is more and more criminals are being given non-custodial sentences (apart from pensioners who don't pay their £50 council tax rise) - this means there are more and more of them on the street.

Reason is jails cost ££££ , and the government doesn't have ££££(do you want higher taxes?)

I think government should cut the outrageous spend of around £25000 per prisioner per annum, so they can put more sick c**ts away. Porridge, rice, bread, water, no gyms, no tv, no heating, no tobbaco (why the f**k are prisoners allowed to smoke anyway?)

The best solution would be to chop of fingers for offences (and hands for bigger ones) - Practically zero cost, and the person is stigmatised. Obviously people who have lost digits through other means may also be inadvertantly stigmatised though).

Am up for some alcazar action

Get a person in their Scoob drive around at night followed by some heavy's in a van. When the ******* pounce the heavy's give'em a pounding to an inch of their life. Am up for that.

This kind of $hit really ******* cheeses me off. I know if someone took 2 jabs at my head with a claw hammer i wouldn't be alive.

Makes me think if i should sell up!. By the way am from Coventry!

Also in Cov bud, a little un nerving to say the least.

But taking this into your own hands will only see you doing time, don't get
me wrong i would love a bit of vigalanti action but i also have a family to
care for.

Maybe a written group protest to the powers that be would show our concerns.

"why the f**k are prisoners allowed to smoke anyway?"

Cos there are too many bloody do gooders in this country who fight for their human rights! annoys me too. What about the rights of the poor person they robbed or killed etc.

really awful story you told us there...mend well man. its about time that people in communities took charge of the situation and got some control back from these scum. i honestly believe that if the names of the people that do these things ever become known, some justice should be exacted upon them in the only way they will understand. portable angle grinder would take their hands off in seconds...guarantee they wont be picking up screwdrivers and stabbing innocent folks again.

just as an aside....why do you say that tracker was useless? what went wrong?

the batteries on the tracker system needs changing at some point, not sure of the expected life span.

just possible that a lot of these failed trackers have flat batteries, worth checking with tracker.

That is an awful thing to read, i am truly sorry to hear what you have experienced.

Have the police mentioned how they are treating the case?

It should be attempted murder!

I agree about this country and its many problems, all labour go on about is our countrys economy and how it has improved under there power. No mention of pensioners getting poorer, increase in crime, petrol prices, house prices, illegal immigrants, the obscene cost of keeping prisoners happy.....

Licensed vigilantes could be an answer !
