ktec have not increased boost pressure on their chip, ask David if you know him. Theres a cutoff in the ecu that dumps the car into limp mode at 11 PSI so you get 5 minutes of fun then the engine cuts out. We have sorted the problem on my ecu. As far as I know they are on fuelling and timing maps only due to this problem but yes they do have it chipped (although they had taken it off last time I spoke to him) My car is yet to be RR'd but within a week or 2 I think we're pretty close to having the UKs quickest 225. If it ends up over 14. whatever I cant say I'm that fussed as long as it ups the performance significantly over the original which the fuelling only map I have on at the moment seems to do. Having a low 1/4 muile time will be good for sales though!

live near wakefield m8, I know theres loads off to york from cliosport. If I make it over I wont be running the car yet, just added a bit of boost tonight so I'm taking it steady as we up it over the next week or so. Week on saturday its off to the RR to be set up properly and that all important power output found out

Right

Finally got a chance to race again in a clio 16v but need to find, either some E marked tyres recommendation welcome or some cheap 15" slicks any offers?

See if you can get in contact with any of the Clio cup teams. They might offload some 15" slicks in your direction. Failing that they pop up on ebay every now and again

Back to the original post, I've always had good helpful service from Hill Power (Nick Hill) albeit over 3 years ago now but he knows his stuff AFAIC..!

Rebuilt my 16v clio after cam belt slipped (piper cams, vernier pulley's, ported/gas flowed etc, fully balanced crank with new shells and ecu chip £1600 for a very nice job. This was 3 yrs ago and the car, although sold, is still going strong without missing a beat..!

BTW I found his prices very competetive (sp?)
