Ive had mine for about 6 months now, was great condition but there is little scratches and dents in it now from shopping trips.
Also it was keyed very badly and all the center console stolen from it while i was away n france (it was left at a place called APH just outside gatwick, althouth they have agreed to pay all costs to get it put right.
I get mixed attention, some young some old, but it is strange that all the 10 year olds ask bout nos, dump valves etc.
But everytime i drive it it puts a huge smile on my face.

I totally agree with this statement, The trouble I have is with this age group

Im 36, dont have this problem, if anything its younger drivers, think they can keep up with me just a quick push of the pedal and leave it at that they "think" they are better, i know i am and no i dont dent doors or the likes, thats criminal damage if you leave the scene.

I always end up getting cut off by some ******, or have them not paying attention to where they are going, and start weaving into my lane.
Then, of course, I get all the kiddies in other cars with their faces pressed up against the windows drooling.
The best comment I've had is when I first got my 05 STi. I was at a red light and some kid that was about 8-11 years old belts out, "HEY! HEY YOU! I HAVE THAT CAR IN GRAN TURISMO! HOW'D YOU GET THE REAL THING?!" I just replied to the bloke, "Credits, kid..lots of credits."

If anything the ned / chav reaction to my car is usually very good. So much so that the local youth population (i don't really like calling this bunch chavs), have got to the stage of nodding and waving as i pass (as well as telling me how nice the car looks when i see them). I even park the car in their local "hang out spot" when i'm visiting the local shop on an evening knowing that it'll be safe and sound when i get back (even feels like an extra security device) It may be that i live in a small village but i've never had any trouble with the young uns.
I took the Scoob to France earlier this year where it went down like a storm (loads of attention and people coming over to have a good look and ask questions about it - most of which i didn't understand)
The only "bad" comment in France was when some guy told me (in pigeon English) that my money would have been better spent on an Aston Martin DB9... My car is a 1993 WRX btw - it might look nice enough but even my 4 year old knows that it doesn't sit on the same shopping list as a DB9 when his Dad is out buying cars

Just last night i passed a group of neds/chavs and one of them said "look at him in his crappy car". I was amused because i just thought, thats the reaction of a very jealous little ***** who would jump at the chance to own a scoob.

Him: (leans around the pump laughing) What's up with the big exhaust? Does it spit watermelons?
Me: Uhhhh, no. The reason for its size is so it can spit out pieces of ****e like Corvettes in one large chunk. Before you ask about the hood scoop, that's so it can swallow them up in that one large chunk.
Him: I don't know what Corvettes that thing's spitting out, but it wouldn't spit out this one.
Me: Hang around and see?
Him: You got it. Let's go. (pulls away from gas pump and waits for me to finish filling up)
So, we pull on to the road and we get caught at a light. I'm in the right lane, and he pulls next to me into the left. When the light turned green, I was off with a full head of steam, leaving him about 1.5 cars behind (the beauty of Subaru AWD), and pulling.
By the time we slowed down, I must've been going well over 85 mph. I tapped my brakes and slowed down for the next light. The bloke wouldn't even pull even with me. So, I decided to pull backwards until I was even with him. He wouldn't even look at me. It was clear that his day was buggered.
Me: Hey! Hey man! You might want to get in the right lane with the Hondas! You're holding up traffic! Take your daddy's car home and get a real car! (pointing and laughing hysterically)
Now, I don't condone street racing, but he needed to be put in his place. It'll teach him the next time NOT to run his mouth and make smart comments to people. In fact, a good number of people would've just punched him in the mouth for making smartass comments like that. I didn't know the guy. He's lucky I wasn't one of these blokes that would've just shot off at him.
And no, I normally don't have an arrogant attitude like that with people after a race either, but he was a total ******. If he would've been cool, and just asked me if I wanted to race, or asked why the exhaust was large, I would've explained to him that it was a larger exhaust so it expelled gases quicker to help with the power. Instead, he had to be a smartass.....

Mouth wide open & tounge hanging out, the pavement vouyers await the moment that you launch off up the road looking a complete plonker, only to stealth away in sneak drive.

i get the usual nice ar from chavs etc, then the other day i was coming out of the shops towards my car and an old pensioner was stood behind my car pointing at it and i though "oh here we go again" rag old people compaining about nmy parking but actually he said "nice choice of car", "oh.....right....cheers" i said in disbelief but nice anyway
get the odd Skyline reving its dump valve and the oncoming chavs who press the accelerator (exhaust volume control) as they go past to make me think that their car is no longer a 1.2 corsa but in fact a 3.6 straight 6 or a a whopping 2.0 from a monster calibre etc

Same as most comments on here always in the positive. Got a lot of young uns round my way that always nod and wave when I pass, even had a few ask if I would take them for a spin, so that can't be to bad.
Did have a mates GF look at me like i was trying to recapture my youth when she found out what I had bought. Soon changed her mind when she saw it, and I gave them a lift in to town one day.
