mmmm that is stupid. I don't even have a dialup modem anymore So I guess I will need to ring them for the details, as my workplace blocks all webmail services

Suppose I could signup using my work email addy.

Bravo, Did u migrate from another ISP and use their online signup to do it? Was it simply a matter of supplying a mac code and then waiting for them to email you? How long did it take to get signedup and online? Cheers.

Thats why u should use a webmail service as your primary addy, like gmail.

Typical ISP line, 'not our fault, it's BT'

At least u can get through to their CS.

No they dont change anything at the exchange, but I think they are involved at some point, as all ISP ADSL services are based upon a basic BT line package. I.e IPStream Home 500 or Datastream500, 1000 etc etc.

So +net maybe telling the truth. But I think alot of ISPs just use that line, as its too convenient for them to do so
