I'm looking to learn Photoshop and was wondering if any of you experts on here could recommend a decent book to do this.

There are a tonne on Amazon just not sure which to choose?

I gather you have the latest verson CS?
I have not upgraded yet, so still have 7. Its fine for me for the time being.

I have got two books that i got recomended by one of my uni lectures.

these are,

Photoshop for windows & Macintosh - visual quickstart giude
by ELAINE WEINMANN, PETER LOUREKAS

its a really good book No colour apart from a few pages in the middle and for £18.99 not bad.

The other is the

PHOTOSHOP WOW book by Jack Davis. Full colour, CD-Rom with it and it is great! apart from the price £37.99

I've used the photoshop version 7 book and it was great, I would have thought that the content was not too different for the CS book.
