My god I'm confused now.
So attendants can only issue fines in roadside bays and car parks.
Police can only issue fines for obstruction on the road-outside of marked bays
NCP and council Attendants in local car parks can be ignored cos they won't bother to prosecute.

Things are looking up.

Yes, bascially you are right on the above.

Apart from the last bit. I would not say ignored. After all, if the word gets out that a certain firm is not willing to pursue a parking fine all the way to court, then everyone will just turn up to park for free.

You just need to make it too much hassle for them to bother with. Go onto Peppipo.com, or search out various parking sites to get rules and regulations. When you start quoting them, and pointing out a good defence, the chances of them actually chasing you into a court room are very small indeed.

Can't believe you got a ticket for that, christ, most of us on here purposely park like that too keep our cars from being damaged.Only obstruction you were causing was to the structural engineers who were going to inspect those concrete pillars exactly at the same time you were parked.(aye right).. Fight it all the way ,firstly by letter with the photos ,if it comes to it they aren't going to waste the time of a court with this...Good luck..

As for anyone saying you deserve the fine ,their talking from their ****,and they must have a car covered in dings!!

A bit late now I suposse but my imediate reaction at getting the ticket would have been to move the car over slightly so that the tyres were on the white line instead of over them, THEN take the pictures Unless the attendant also took pictures (which I very much doubt) he will then be looked apon as being very petty and may well be reprimanded because of it. You would also have it quashed in no time A little devious perhaps but they started it

Unless they have CCTV, and then used that to show that you moved the car....

Would have been best to take the pic with the ticket on the car in its current position though.

The parking attendants notes and photographs clearly show the vehicle in question was parked causing an obstruction.

You now have the option to accept this decision or wait until you receive the Notice to Owner to appeal further, however please bear in mind that if you appeal further and it is upheld again, you may have to pay the full Penalty Charge of £60.

Now call me a fat balding cynic if you want to BUT how the **** can Slough Borough Council be deemed to be impartial when I have to pay the money to them ???????

If I appeal does it go back to the council again ? In which case it is £60 without a doubt !!!

The pox on the lot of 'em

I think your second appeal will probably be with the council again...but should you lose that, you can fail to pay. Then they will have to take you to court.

They will then have to prove their case in court As they have rejected your appeal on the grounds of causing an obstruction I cannot really see how they can prove that given the photos you showed before...

They'll reject your appeal. That's their Christmas bonus/****-up/party money your trying to take from them.
How these people sleep at night is beyond me. It'll be some middle aged woman sat behind a desk all day. Ugly and she's never been laid. That's why there's no give and take with these arseholes.
Personly, I'd take it all the way to court. They are using scare tactics is saying you'll end up pay full amout if you lose, just so you'll pay now. Fight the ****ers.

Easy for me to say, yes cos it's not my money, but thats my opinion.

Agreed, fight them all the way..

Tell them that you do not agree with their opinon, and wish to have your case heard by a court of law. Say that they have a legal duty to keep their costs to a minimum to bring your case to court, and that you expect them to adhere to this expectation.

I bet they will drop it with a decent letter..time for pepipoo.com...too drunk to spel it properly

I fail to see how the Road traffic act applies in a car park that charges admittance.
