How come Jermaine "I don't want to live in a goldfish bowl" Jenas went for £7m !! a couple of weeks ago Souness was saying Arsenal could have him for £20m and then a week later it was £15m, and why the **** did spurs buy him, do they really need him or are they competing with Chelsea for the most midfielders in a squad ??

Hey Jermain that goldfish bowl you moved out of has turned into a aquarium does he think he'll have it any easier in a big city??

Richie , Mike I think you'll be OK now you have Owen and Nobby, just loose Boumsong.

Yes, I include Chelsea when I say we now have a midfield to match up to anyone's in the Premiership.

Shame we don't have Chelsea's strength in depth with their amazing *squad* - we'll tail off with injuries during the end of the season, whereas Chelsea will keep gonig.

Hopefully at Christmas we'll buy Matthew Upson or Gallas for the defence!

Jennas wants the so called "bright lights" of London. As you correctly point out, if he thinks Newcastle is a gold fish bowl, he'll get a shock in London. Like our Titus Shambles he likes a good 'roast' on a sunday

You missed that HUGE weak point...

--------Shearer--Owen----------
--Luque--Emre--Parker--Solano--
-Taylor-Bramble-Boumsong-Carr--
-------------Given--------------
That's better

Subs: Harper, Babayaro, Dyer, Bowyer, N'Zogbia, Ameobi are decent backup but after that it's the kids and Amdy Faye...

its still there just not as pronounced have'nt plyed any games since the signings so well give him a couple of games for the new player to settle in. ie the sunderland game that one usually sorts things out eh rude

Cheddar Bob,

No, Babayaro is a natural left back, whereas Taylor plays on his right foot - bad news when he's trying to hit Luque up front on the left wing.

I do like the look of Taylor though, and there'll always be a place in the defence for him.

As for Bramble, he had a purple period where he looked unbeatable - lets hope and PRAY he can get that back, eh ?

Worked for Chelsea but we don't have a dodgy Russian backing us just a bent chairman and a historically poor manager

To all the Geordie fans, can I ask a question?

I don't want to offend any one (but I probably will) why did you celebrate the signing of a player in the same way as most clubs would celebrate winning a trophy? I would have been ashamed if my club did that.

Bring on Fulham in a weeks time. Put our newbies into action and score some points. Glad we got Nobby back, should never have sold him in the first place

well i don't know what team you support, but if your happy with 15000 people coming to cheer you on for winning something then fair enough, whenwe something there will be more than x10 that cheering on newcastle whats wrong with giving your record signing a warm welcome? nothing to be ashamed off, proud i think

Sorry like I don't agree, think even Oli Bernard is leagues ahead of Babayaro both defensively and going forward, Just look at how many of the goals we concede come from attacking play down our left side and more often than not Babayaro is miles out of position and is making silly full body sliding tackles as far as the half way line when like on Sunday, Rooney just skipped past him then Faye (who may I add is a terrible joke of a professional footballer) might as well have been standing still but it goes down as a Boumsong mistake of which the run/chance should never have happened...

Carr isn't good enough either but much more reliable IMO than Babayaro apart from his silly fouling. [thought]pity Hughes was sold for £1m as he held the left back position for many years as is much more reliable and steady[/thought]

It was also a shame that Valente & Lee were both bought for under £2m aswell as LB is our weakest position.

I hope both fullbacks are replaced next summer but LB in January
