Well, it's probably a good choice for an emergency vehicle I suppose.
But let's not get off topic, I'm still a bit shocked by all this completely useless violence.
For the oldies: is Anders still "involved" in situations like these ?

I have never seen the roads so empty on way out the city tonight But the number of people on foot was incredible, they were spilling over onto the roads as the pavements weren't simply wide enough to take them all.
Now home and away from the madness my thoughts are with those injured and who have lost their lives today

jesus, just been reading this thread from the 1st post while watching the aftermath on telly, i know it's just people posting but seems to make it a bit more real if you know what i mean?
sounds a bit daft but you seem to get used to hearing about attrocities(?) happening around you, but reading from people involved/near to the attacks worried about friends and family hammers it home a bit that it's very real and a bit close for my liking

Got home about 35 mins ago - left office @ 17:30
Took 3 members of staff home to N9 & a friend to Suffolk but it was getting up through Bow/Hackney/Clapton/Stoke Newington that was bad - what was the problem all of a sudden in the Leyton area? All roads leading that way were pocked.

A shocking, if not entirely surprising, series of events today as IMO it had to happen sooner or later. Absolutely terrible for those directly involved and their relatives, and it could just as easily been my tube train blown up this morning. But I'm just thankful that the attack wasn't bigger and the casualty list ten times longer than it is.
It's good to see that with certain predictable exceptions, the voices on this board crying it would never happen here, and that the threat was being fabricated by the government for their own ends are now largely silent.
Gary.

WOW. I've just read the first 10 pages of this thread and I can't imagine how everyone must have felt as this story unfolded. I was only 15 at the time and vaguely remember the teachers at my school talking about it while I was in class. RIP to those that died.
Edit: I remember being in ICT class and the teacher has the news site up on his computer telling us what was going on.

I will never forget the day it happened as it's my mrs birthday! She was shopping in birmingham at the time with my daughter and pregnant with my son and she rang me crying as they weren't letting people on the train so she couldn't get home. RIP to all the victims. Such a sad world we live in that these things take place

I remember it like yesterday, I worked in the City and used the same Met line to get off at Liverpool St 20 minutes before the first bomb detonated at Aldgate. Watched the morning unfold on large overhead displays where everyone had gathered round in the office. No one could believe what was going on, traders were frantically taking measures to close their books before being told to suspend trading and invoke disaster recovery procedures. When DR was invoked I left to go the other site on the south side of the river. No public transport was running, roads were solid and remember, despite the streets being very very busy and solid with people rushing around trying to get to wherever they were trying to get to, it was eerily quite, no one talking, just the look of dismay on peoples faces and sounds of sirens in the distance.
