Its chaos down there, Aldgate was shut off so was forced upto Shoreditch, came down past Liverpool St and police and fire crews everywhere, I work just past Liverpool St and there have been constant sirens going for ages. Seems to have calmed down now though.

For the lazy - BBC web report.
Emergency services have been called to London's Liverpool Street Underground station after reports of an explosion.
The incident has caused major disruption to the entire network with stations across the capital closed.
A London Fire Brigade spokeswoman said four crews were at the scene and more were on their way. There are reports of "walking wounded".
Cordons are in place. A power failure may be behind the problems, Transport for London said.

Or.......to put this in a more positive light, what a great time to show the global audience how well London can cope with a transport "disaster".

Not sure that's a totally appropriate remark to share with us at a time when the likelihood of fatalities is now very high...
"Blissful". Christ.

Decided to get off at Moorgate and walk to Old Broad Street rather than go to Liverpool Street. Got into work around 8:55 so would have been on the train going Eastbound into Liverpool Street.
Thank god I fancied a walk this morning.
