did a 1.35.49 last night at blackwood online with the XFgti

 

I remember the scoobynet server....had some good races there.

Was it B2Z that had to drive the XF GTi and then XR GT until he could afford to get the GT Turbo at one time whilst we had the Turbo?

I bought this a few weeks ago and am just getting into it ATM.

Is the above list like this> "LFS name" > "Number plate" ?

Just an idea but If so you could have a new list to make it simpler ( for me )
like this?

SN name > LFS name > LFS num plate

LEUVEN > V-Limited > LEUVEN

 

Are you sure that wasnt the XF GTR?

Is there any way you can view your own PB's in LFS does anyone know?

Just managed to scrape into the 1:36's
but can do 1:37's quite consistently

 

i was sitting on 1.37 for a while, until i tried sum diffrent thinking with the setups

i actually made the brakes softer then the standerd setup, which improved things quite a bit

my number plate is M111 CKV
im ready to go now

normaly the nos server or one of the other decent ping rated ones

im not going to get in any faster cars till i crack 1.34`s in the xfgti lol

 

i have the full game but play online on the demo servers

did another 1.35`s tonight

i was compleaty crap as S1, which i blame on the keyboard

DFP is awsome for S2 once you get the forcefeed back drivers working

 

mind you, ive just watched a bloke do a 1.32.xx

I have real trouble with the corner before the bridge underpass, can never get the line/speed right under there.

ive hot 1.35 about 6 times in total now,
still not beat my 1.35.49 PB tho :mad
its frustrating, i can follow a faster lapping car around the track and see where im faster then them, but i can see them pull away in diffrent parts, not idea how there doing it, might just be diffrent setups???

the one im useing at the moment lets me brake really deep into the corner without locking up or understeering to much, which is letting me do sum badass over taking moves

the previous setup was more a "set the car up BEFORE the corner and fight the twitchyness" lol

 

Me thinks I need to tinker with the settings then!

ahhh now that would be telling


goto a online race watch a "fast" person, see if they put in decent times
then ask for there setup

at least then you know your at fault instead of the setup
if you leave it stock, you can practise knowing your doing sumthing wrong

but saying that, everybodys style is diffrent
i have about 3/4 diffrent setups for the xfgti at the moment
and im currently swapping between 2 of them to make a "hybrid" of the two

im doing 1.35`s with them both, but in diffrent styles, so im hopeing to crack a 1.34 with the best of both worlds

i have been playing it most nights online, mostly in ther FXR GTR

burnout #4 is the server i have been on the most, current PB for blackwood in the gtr is 1.08.59
i have actually just joined spectator mode for a bit of a break as my head hurts (been playing since around 3pm )

i have been trying to show my mates the "light" but they are all to xbox crazy to care

i jumped straight in and bought the full thing ages ago

B2Z the DFP is AWESOME in this game when its setup properlly
so much so that the DFP has been nowhere near the ps2 since i tried it (months)
its just been updated with a new patch that gives you the bmw sauber f1 car, but tbh its to much of a handfull for me, and i like my 4wd car to much

best to update the music files as well, while downloading the updates

 

there are hundreds of addons available on lfsforum.net for higher res textures and stuff, i have only added high res skys and signs to mine so far (plus i changed the ingame steering wheel to a skinned version of the DFP)

there are full track and grass kits, the lot........

 

i run a xp 2500 @ 2.23ghz
a 128mb 9700 pro and 1gig ram, so you are around the same as me, give or take

all ingame settings on full

1024 x 784 = 32bit and around 80fps while hotlapping, lowest i have seen was a multi car pile up which was 30fps for a few secs, normally sits around 45-60 while racing online against others

had a look at the updated files tonight and installed the "becky rose" high res textures from lfsforum.net

and also the "real reflection mod" files

check this screen shot, the game looks awesome IMO
the difference is night and day

 

cant see why it would not work on the demo TBH

but you would only need the blackwood textures.....
