Played a bit of the demo last night. Like what they've done to it
Found a good server that had people that wanted to actually race and knew that the cars react realistically rather than an arcade machine!
Although on one server the race would get restarted cause half the people would bin it on the first corner (see above) and vote for a restart

Just shelled out for the full license and well impressed with the rest of the cars and tracks. Also good you can search for players as well. I'll start a list for anyone wanting to put up their sign-in names If not - I'll play with the 8 yr-old polish geeks

Firstly, great game.
A mate recommended the xbox/ps2 to pc converters that game sell for about £7 so that will allow any console users with wheels to use them with this game for a fraction of the cost that a new pc only wheel would cost.
was reading the forums for this game, and some dudes have re-created the top gear test track. Nice idea. I've only been playing the demo, but will buy the full S2 version when i can figure out how to host games. I manage to set one up, but nobody can see it in the master server list and hence they are unable to connect. Think it's a router port address issue.
Anyways, im off to dabble about with some ip & port numbers and see what can be done.

Keith,
You should have a Virtual Server list on your Router. You need to specify the PC you will be running the game on and the port number LFS requires. This should allow external traffic to see the game.

Whats ur upstream speed Keith? If you want to host games any more than 1 guest on 256k up is a no-go (in my expericence - prepares to be flamed by those that know different )
Also - where in Fawkirk are you - this could turn into a central-belt thread !!
'Mon the Carron LFS'ers.

I've set up a server (albeit running on my PC) and seems to hold up well with a few users on it.
Should usually be up and running in the evening - listed as "Nelsdirs Racing Server" in the list.
Give it a go and tell me if its a bit laggy??
Neil
P.S I've added the names on this thread to my buddy list but no-one ever seems to play!!!
