I did try also driving conservativly and it did not make that much difference at all, apart from boring me to death.

£75 a week on a 64-mile round trip per day. That's cruisin at 75 to 80. Did a week crusin at 90 to 100 and it cost about a ton. Not worth the extra expense, when motorway driving is so boring.

I was spending about £70 aweek on fuel for the scoob, but now I've bought a 306td runabout I'm spending about £10 on diesel which will last 2 weeks as I only live 5 miles from work. Then another £15 on fuel for the scoob on the weekend.

To me that was worth buying a roundabout.

I used £145 worth of fuel in the first 2 weeks of ownership. Now I reckon I fill up 3 times in two weeks, so roughly £240 a month (and I only live 10 miles from work!).

The plus side is nobody covers that 10 miles quicker than me - guaranteed!!! :-)

Since 30th Jan I've put 1,352 litres in mine (not all in one go, obviously ).

That works out at about 67 litres per week. Assuming 97p a litre, this would be £65 per week.

As luck would have it my company pays this, but I still have to fork out around £150 a month in tax for the fuel alone.

To make it worth my while (a lot is business miles), this means I have to spank the car doing a fair amount of private mileage. Shame!

About 200 a month give or take a few quid but that depends on the cost of the fuel. In Basingstoke Optimax is 91.9 @ the mo and three months ago it was 86.9. Anyone got a tardis

£40 p/w ~220 miles (22mpg) around town mainly.

I've given up thinking about it, although this post has highlighted it again
