i suspected my maf on a 93 a while ago. had the car running and then unpluged it. the car stalled instantly but thats not the way to check if the maf is working properly as i was once told.

I hope it has helped .... could you 'borrow' a MAF unit from someone to test it out?

i know that for mine (99) the dealers try to charge for a whole assembly that costs about 300 quid, while the maf only is about 80.
