NBO convoys using M1 & M62 - Join up with WYIOC for mega convoy

Hi Phil M8, spotted you on Tong Street yesterday evening, waved but it's not much kop when in stealth mode in the vRS!!!
Al, just noticed that Rob (RLE) is deffo going to NBO. His new car is far far more worthy of a place on the stand so perhaps a mid-day swap around might be in order if he's up for it! (Only if he's retained the WYIOC sticker of course).
Must remember to fill up b4 the meet point as took Dave for a spin the other day & watched the fuel gauge go from brimming to 3/4 in about 5 miles

Will be bringing 1 pack of burgers so that's the...er...'boot' full then. Will join Chris sitting on grass unless I can blag a miniscule foldy fishing type chair thingy.

Steve. I'm not sure how easy it will be to do a swap.. I have a feeling we'll be locked in... It's up to you about doing the swap, and it's certainly a worthy car to show.. But for the Wow factor, there's going to be nothing there to touch your current steed... John (Lord H) did say we could possibly have 6 cars...
Can you check with Rob to see if he's up for coming early if I can get 6 cars on the stand?

It's up to you about doing the swap, and it's certainly a worthy car to show.. But for the Wow factor, there's going to be nothing there to touch your current steed... is it 6 cars if you have them shoehorned in and no place for the gazebo / BBQ or is it a frontage that can take 6 with no real space between?
Only thinking like this as I suppose we want people to feel they can come on the stand and "mingle" rather than be put off by a pile of cars virtually touching door handles for the hell of getting another one on the stand...

Andy, a great point and one that Lord H and I are on with.. I agree that we don't want to have a stand that is way to busy..
5 appeared to be the max number, but Lord H did mention 6. So if we can have 6 with the Gayzebo AND keep a decent space where pople can mingle and look inside the cars then great.. otherwise we cut the cars down to make room for the socialising..

I was in atedcance last year and its was great. I am glad that I found your convoy times I was not looking froward to getting up really earley to get the other convoys. I did not arrive in one last year but I saw that it is right of passage to do one. Will meet you at J47 A1. I can't waite to see all those scoobys comming up the A1. You can't miss me I will one of the few with the drive on the WRONG side of the car!

Just a quick warning for those meeting at the TP - the mathematical dungeon masters (PI Keys) have set up camp on the end of the car park / bit of grass where you turn from the road into the car park
Not saying anything should or would happen but forewarned etc...
I saw the caravans there this lunchtime as I was stopping off there to make a phone call en route from Selby...

It's a pub! I've only been there the once but from memory if you're coming East, leave the M62 at J31, bear left towards Castleford, straight over 2 roundabouts, and turn right at the first set of lights you come to.

Come off the M62 at J.31 and take the A655 towards Whitwood/Castleford. There's a roundabout straight away after the lights, go straight over, but move into the right hand lane for the traffic lights soon after. Turn right at the lights, then 1st left and left again into the pub car park.

If the Gayzebo's a bugger to put up, you may find us all in a fist fight after 2hrs worth of struggling with lanyards, poles and widgets.. there may also be a few cars on fire... Put mine out first please..
